Jude, Part 1. Rick Kabrick.

ACT 2:36-38 Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ – this Jesus whom you crucified. Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?”

Peter said to them,
“Repent [metanoeo – to think differently, reconsider] and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

GEN 1:26 – Then God said, “Let Us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

So God created mankind in His own image, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.”

“Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning – the sixth day.”

MAT 13:55; ACT 1:14; 1CO 9:5; GAL 1:19.

MAT 13:55 “Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas?”

GAL 1:19 But I did not see any other of the apostles except James, the Lord’s brother.

To stand away from the CWL, to stand away from the word of God.

The book of Jude gives us an intense warning against leaving the truth, as well as never accepting that truth. Then it tells us of the consequences of either of those acts.

JAM 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

He (Jesus Christ) was the only One who could and would and did… die spiritually for our sins and therefore pay the price for them, and therefore He is the only One who is qualified to offer salvation.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy. To the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever, amen.

There are no advantages in physical birth whereby man can gain the favor of God and therefore Salvation is an individual choice.

ACT 16:31 “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.”

JOH 3:16 “For God so loved the word that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life.”

JOH 7:5 For not even His brothers were believing in Him.

Under the plan of God there are levels of functions within the plan, but all these functions constitute one great all-comprehensive plan, perfect, eternal, unchangeable.

You have no need in your life for which God has not made perfect provisions for.

The turning away of the wrath of God because of the offering and sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross.

Verse 1 – Jude, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, and a brother of James, to the ones who have been loved and are being loved by God the Father, and who have been preserved or kept for Jesus Christ and called.
