Jude, a bondslave of Jesus Christ, and a brother of James, to the ones who have been loved and are being loved by God the Father, and who have been preserved or kept for Jesus Christ and called.

eleos = compassion, kindness, blessings

eirene = tranquility, peace of mind, absence of war, good wishes

PHI 4:7 And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

The only way anyone can fulfill the command to love is to have a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

Jude 2 Mercy to you, and that your inner peace or tranquility, and a relaxed mental attitude [love] may be greatly increased is my desire.

Beloved = dear ones, beloved ones [agapatos]

Current positional truth is identification with Christ as He is seated at the right hand of the Father in his resurrection, ascension, and session.

Retroactive positional truth is in view and that is identification with His spiritual and physical death, and his burial.

ROM 6:4, therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

All things necessary to reach spiritual maturity and glorify God have been provided; it is only our incorrect free will decisions that stand in the way.

Retro-active positional truth focuses in on what God has done to the o.s.n.
Current positional truth deals with what God has done for the new nature.

When we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior through faith alone, we enter into union with Him, and therefore we become BELOVED ONES.

The only differences that exists between believers in Jesus Christ are the differences in spiritual gifts, and the different stages of spiritual growth believers are in.

spoude

ANAGKE = necessity, compulsion, obligation of duty.

Jude had planned on writing his epistle on the topic of salvation, but the Holy Spirit moved him to write concerning apostasy.

parakaleo = to invoke, to admonish, persuade, to implore.

EPAGONIZOMAI

Verse 3 When giving all diligence in writing to you, beloved, concerning the salvation possessed in common by all of us, I was constrained to write to you persuading you to fight with intensity and determination by means of Bible doctrine for that which was once and for all entrusted for keeping to the saints.

pareisduno = to settle in alongside stealthily – creep in unawares.

krima = a decision – the function or the effect, for or against – avenge, condemned, condemnation, damnation

asebace = wicked – ungodly or sinful

ROM 5:6, For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.

aselgeia = a person who acknowledges no restraints, or one who does whatever his desires may suggest.

despotes

Verse 4: For certain men have begun to infiltrate without your knowledge in a dishonest manner, and have been received with open arms, men who had been previously written about long ago concerning their judicial sentence, unbelievers perverting the grace of God into unrestained behavior, and denying the only absolute master, the Lord Jesus Christ.

First of all, the unbeliever must turn to Jesus Christ and accept Him as their Savior.
Secondly, all believers in Jesus Christ need to learn, believe, and apply the Word of God on a daily, consistent basis.

hupomimnesko = to remind from a position of authority

sozo = to save, deliver or protect, heal, preserve

Apollumi = to destroy fully, to perish, abolish, kill

Verse 5: After serious and careful deliberations I have, therefore, decided to remind you from a position of authority what you have known and still know, that first of all the Lord (kurios), having delivered the people out from the land of Egypt, then, secondly He destroyed the ones who did not have faith in the Lord and were in a state of continuous apostasy.

Having delivered the people out from the land of Egypt, then, secondly He (the Lord Jesus Christ) destroyed the ones who did not have faith in the Lord and were in a state of continuous apostasy.

EXO 1:16-17, and he said, “When you are helping the Hebrew women to give birth and see them upon the birthstool, if it is a son, then you shall put him to death; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live.” But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt had commanded them, but let the boys live.

EXO 1:19, The midwives said to Pharaoh, “Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous and give birth before the midwife can get to them”

EXO 3:14, God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, I AM has sent me to you.”

EXO 32:1, Now when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mountain, the people assembled about Aaron and said to him, “Come, make us a god who will go before us; as for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him.”

EXO 32:20-22, Moses took the calf which they had made and burned it with fire, and ground it to powder, and scattered it over the surface of the water and made the sons of Israel drink it. Then Moses said to Aaron, “What did this people do to you, that you have brought such great sin upon them?”

Aaron said, “Do not let the anger of my Lord burn; you know the people yourself, that they are prone to evil. For they said to me, Make a god for us who will go before us; for this Moses, the man who brought us up from the land of Egypt, we do not know what has become of him. I said to them, Whoever has any gold, let them tear it off. So they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and out came this calf.”

Exo  32:28, So the sons of Levi did as Moses instructed, and about three thousand men of the people fell that day

Having delivered the people out from the land of Egypt, then, secondly He (the Lord Jesus Christ) destroyed the ones who did not have faith in the Lord and were in a state of continuous apostasy.
