Knowing the angelic conflict.
Knowing the glorification of God.
The Doctrine of Glorifying God.
Point 1. How the Believer Glorifies God.
2. What Does Not Glorify God.
Point 3. The Pattern for Glorifying God in the Church-age.
The Pattern of Perception, Metabolization and Application of Bible Doctrine requires our understanding of the three “R”s.
a. Reception of Bible doctrine being your is the #1 priority.
b. The second “R” is Retention, which refers to the metabolization of Bible doctrine, so that gnosis doctrine or knowledge in the left lobe becomes epignosis doctrine or wisdom in the right lobe, the heart, which is the basis of momentum in the PPOG.
c. The third “R” is recall, which is comparable to the concept of wisdom; it refers to the application of doctrine.
PRO 24:5, A wise man is strong, And a man of knowledge increases power. (NAS)
Originally found in the Old Testament, “A man of knowledge increaseth strength. PRO 24:5,” (KJV)
It was not the KJV that first used it, but Shakespeare in “Henry VI” (1591), used this aphorism in the United States in 1806.
PRO 24:5 is “A wise man a person with wisdom or metabolization of God’s word] is strong; yea, a man of application of knowledge [that’s wisdom] increaseth strength.”
Anabolism is the part of metabolism that is converted for good.
It is called the constructive part of metabolism.
“You may think I overstate the authority he gave me, but I’m not backing off because every bit of my commitment is for the purpose of building you up, after all, not tearing you down.”
ACT 9:31, the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria enjoyed prosperity, being built up [through the communication of doctrine; and, going on in respect of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it continued to increase.
ACT 20:32, And now I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build {you} up and to give {you} the inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
COL 2:7, having been firmly rooted {and now} being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed,
Catabolism =
katabole
means to throw down, this process breaks down the cells which could be destructive.
Metabolizing doctrine does two things, it destroys some things that are no good and it builds you up.
In the building up process, a soul structure is built.
Doctrine doesn’t always build you up, sometimes it tears you down.
It convicts you or it destroys some of the wrong norms and standards that a you have developed.
2TI 3:16, All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another--showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way.
What kind of judgment does TLJC operate under?
JOH 12:47, “And if anyone hears My sayings or doctrines, and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world.”
JOH 12:48, “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day.”
They have other instructors or individuals who represent positions of authority and hey are told how to respect them as believers should because they are in Christ.
The word “countless tutors” refers to those who give you instruction as being in a position of authority over many.
The slave who gives the children in the family, attention.
God’s Way is not a matter of mere talk; it’s an empowered life.
