There is a legitimate amount of persecution that a believer must go through to glorify God in the midst of the devil’s world.

Persecuted – aor-act-ind – edioxen –
ejdivwxen = to pursue after, to persecute you, drive away, harass, trouble; to be maltreated, suffer persecution on account of something.

PHI 1:29 Because to you it has been graciously given with reference concerning Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on behalf of Him,

1TH 3:4 For indeed when we were with you we kept telling you in advance that we were going to suffer affliction; and so it came to pass as you know.

If we follow the teachings of TLJC we can expect to be persecuted for our beliefs or for our lifestyle.

World – kosmos = the circle of the earth, the inhabitants of the world, the ungodly multitude; the whole mass of men alienated from God, worldly affairs; the things of the world, thinking of the people in the world, or those under the influence of worldly thinking or human viewpoint.

1JO 2:15 Do not love the world, nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

One has to do with the way the world thinks while the other has to do with the inhabitants of the world.

Hate – miseo = to detest, to love less, to consider to be inconsequential or insignificant, to lightly esteem.

LEV 18:22 You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination.

LEV 20:13 If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death. Their bloodguiltiness is upon them.

In life, if you are going to have order, the man must be the aggressor and the woman must be the responder,1CO 11:9.

When they begin to trade roles in the relationship, the Bible calls that “without natural affection.”

You should never react to persecution and make someone else’s problem of mistreating you, your problem by getting you out of fellowship with God and reacting to them.

EPH 6:12 Because our struggle is not against blood [people’s souls] and flesh [their old sin nature],

Satan and the kingdom of darkness will do what it takes to try to hinder you and stop your momentum in the spiritual life.

HEB 10:38 “If any man turns back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”
