Point 7. The Pastor who does not Study and Teach will have Shame at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
PHI 4:1 “Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.”
1TH 2:19 “For who is our hope or joy or crown of exultation? Is it not even you, in the presence of our Lord Jesus at His coming?”
“be diligent” aor-act-imp, spoudason to be motivated, to use speed, to make every effort, to labor, to study, to exert oneself.
ROM 14:12 “Each one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
Your motivation must be combined with your spiritual values to learn and use the spiritual skills to execute Gods plan.
ROM 6:13 “and do not go on presenting the members of your body to the sin nature as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
ROM 12:1 “I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.”
“Workman” ergaten used here for a P/T communicating doctrine and by application to a congregation concentrating on the teaching of the pastor.
MAT 9:37 “Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.”
MAT 9:38 “Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.”
You must be motivated with regard to spiritual values and the spiritual skills, and you have to be willing to hear doctrine and be interested in it no matter what.
Learn academically through the communication of Bible doctrine.
Learn the hard way through self-induced misery through the law of volitional responsibility.
ISA 29:24 “These also who erred in spirit will come to understanding, and those who complained will learn doctrine.”
JER 2:17 “Have you not done this to yourself, By your forsaking the Lord your God, When He led you in the way?”
JER 2:19 “Your own wickedness will correct you, And your apostasies will reprove you; Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter For you to forsake the Lord your God, And the dread of Me is not in you, declares the Lord God of hosts.”
LUK 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.”
LUK 12:48b “And from everyone who has been given much shall much be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.”
Your work is your motivation, your concentration, and your understanding that there is no substitute for the three spiritual skills resulting in the execution of the PPOG.
The pastor is responsible for accurately handling the word of God by studying and teaching consistently and dividing the Word of God through the principle of dispensationalism.
MAT 7:16 “You will know them by their fruits.”
As you make doctrine applicable to your experience, you not only get out of self-absorption but you change your values.
The loser believer is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms.
1CO 15:34 “Come to your senses righteously and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.”
REV 3:18 “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich, and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed;”
Point 8. The Importance of Fellowship with God in Time to avoid Shame at the Judgment Seat of Christ.
REV 3:11 “I am coming quickly; hold fast what you have, in order that no one take your crown.”
1CO 15:34 “Come to your senses righteously and stop sinning; for some [believers] have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.”
1CO 15:33 “Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”
ROM 14:23b “and whatever is not from faith is sin.”
Abiding in Him fellowship with God in your post salvation experience with emphasis on occupation with Christ.
2CO 13:14 “The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.”
