John 16:8-11
And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness, and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me [grace]; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you no longer behold Me; and concerning judgment [justice], because the ruler of this world has been judged.

EPH 4:11-12
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ;

Jesus’ perfect humanity did not come up with any of His own doctrines but He was always a servant, not only to mankind, but to His Father who’s doctrines He taught.

Titus 1:10-11
For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not teach, for the sake of sordid gain.

Any student of the word of God will have the word of God alone as his standard and not any nonsense that is derived from the human mind.

Condition of third class with ean [“if”] and present active subjunctive thelee [“willing”] is not used as a mere auxiliary verb for the future “will do,” but with full force of theloo, to will, to wish. (from Robertson’s Word Pictures in the New Testament)

Barnhouse translates this, “If any man is determined to do His will, he shall know.”

Wuest translates this, “If anyone is desiring to be doing His will, he shall know.”

1. They never desired or determined to do His will.

2. They did desire and determine to do His will but in reversionism they have forgotten the fruit that the application of doctrine brought them.

If the believer is determined to do His will, he shall know that the teaching is right from God, eternal wisdom from the source of all eternal wisdom and doubt will not occur.

Acts 13:22
“And after He had removed him, He raised up David to be their king, concerning whom He also testified and said, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My heart, who will do all My will.’

The tool of the biologist is a microscope. The tool of the geologist is a hammer. And the tool of the skeptic is determination to do the will of God.

The power in the Christian way of life is in the word and the Spirit. Any believer determined to live in that power will recognize that they are the only system in this world that will provide the love, peace, and happiness that we all desire.

1 Cor 1:18
For the word of the cross is to those who are perishing foolishness, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

1 John 4:6
We are from God; he who knows God listens to us; he who is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

Don’t let background, IQ, or any station in life hinder you from speaking confidently about doctrinal truth.

When He taught the truth it often clashed with the false doctrines of the elders, but many of them could not deny the clarity and authority of His messages.

The unbelieving Jews would often call Him rabbi because of His teaching; a title He never had, but they would not call Him Lord, because of their unbelief, a title that He always had.

Man in his flesh can do nothing, but when man humbles himself before God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit then you can experience a life beyond dreams.

People are impressed with degrees and certificates from worldly institutions. God is impressed with knowledge and wisdom of His word.

JER 9:23
Thus says the Lord, “Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches;

JER 9:24
but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things, “declares the Lord.
