Joe 2:22 Do not fear, beasts of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness have turned green, for the tree has borne its fruit, the fig tree and the vine have yielded in full.
Joel 2:21-27 is a future glimpse into the Millennium when The Lord reigns from His throne in Jerusalem for a thousand years. Mankind will see perfection like never before during that historic reign.
Only in the future Millennium when Christ is seated in authority (physically) on the earth do we see peace & prosperity, perfect health and harmony. Psa 46:9, Hos 2;18, Mic 4:3 Psa 72, Isa 65:20
Human government can’t regulate, tax or dominate others into perfection nor can they manipulate the tides of the ocean or weather patterns in the sky to create harmony in nature. Even the most intelligent angel will fail in this task as well!
Rom 8:19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.
Currently (since the fall) the world is not in perfect (divine) harmony because only the Lord can bring heavenly perfection and harmony. With active fallen angels and human OSN’s having complete freedom to rule, this perfection is unattainable.
Joe 2:26 “You will have plenty to eat and be satisfied And praise the name of the LORD your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you; Then My people will never be put to shame.
(Repeated in verse 27)
buwsh- shame or disorientation due to a difficult or embarrassing situation. The word is often used for confusion as well as shame. It can mean to delay because of shame and confusion over a matter.
(Isaiah 11) “the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters that cover the sea.” In the Millennium every Bel will understand Bible Doctrine. Similar is the duel meaning- He has poured down for you the rain,
(Joe 2:23)
Joh 4:10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”
Joel 2:27 tells us- “Thus you will know (yada`) that I am in the midst of Israel…”
This is definitive knowledge, complete and without a doubt.
Joe 2:27 “I am the Lord your God” — this is Jesus Christ speaking. Now having known this and having confidence in who I am, He is saying- “my people shall never be confused”.
Joe 2:28 “It will come about after this That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Joe 2:29 “Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
This pouring out of the Holy Spirit is similar to the Day of Pentecost (Act 2).
Act 2:16 but this is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel:
The importance of understanding dispensations is invaluable otherwise you will be fooled by those denominations & church movements that practice miracles or tongues, or perhaps O.T. rituals & laws
The CA Bel is to reflect the life of Jesus Christ in the sense that they use the filling power of the Holy Spirit and the word of God to guide their daily lives, not emotions and seeking signs and wonders.
Pro 8:10 “Take my instruction and not silver, and knowledge rather than choicest gold.
Perfection is fleeting for mankind but with God we are viewed as perfect (position) at the moment of salvation. We then have a guarantee of perfection pertaining to our future bodies & lifestyle as well!
Col 2:2 that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself,
Col 2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Hidden treasures must be uncovered. Salvation is the grace gift given that requires no digging.
Rom 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.
Joe 2:25 “Then I will make up to you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the creeping locust, the stripping locust and the gnawing locust, my great army which I sent among you.
Gen 3:7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves loin coverings.
Gen 3:21 The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them.
Pro 14:14 The backslider in heart will have his fill of his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied with his.
