Many times in human history God has demonstrated His power.
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Here’s where God can even use those who have a negative attitude toward him or His word.
When we find ourselves in jeopardy, whether personal, national, or international, that these things are permitted to continue in history that the power of God may be demonstrated?
1. The evangelism of the unbeliever.
2. The spiritual growth of the believer or the spiritual awareness of the issue.
Many times in human history God has demonstrated His power by means of some evil ruler.
Many times in human history God has demonstrated his power by means of some evil people.
Many times in human history God has demonstrated His power by means of believers who are negative toward doctrine.
PSA 76:10, “God uses the wrath of man to praise Him.”
By means of the hardness of Pharaoh’s heart and the scar tissue of his soul, God is going to demonstrate His power in such a way that it will have an effect on two entire generations.
Hardness of the heart is caused by withdrawal from doctrine, especially metabolized doctrine in the right lobe of the soul.
DEU 28:28 and the mental illness which is given to believers as a form of divine discipline because of negative volition toward doctrine.
DEU 28:28, “The Lord will smite you with madness [shiggawon] and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart;”
Negative volition toward doctrine =
going negative basically at the point of application, which means that you learned the doctrine but you refuse to apply it when it’s really needed.
The result is the accumulation of garbage and filth in the soul which combines the emotional and the arrogant complex of sins in order to begin to neutralize doctrine resident in the soul.
LUK 12:48, “to whom much is given much is required.”
Prin - You will discover that the measure of divine discipline and punishment on a believer who has heard the truth of Bible doctrine and then has rejected it, is much worse than the believer who has never heard it.
1CO 11:28-30, the apostle Paul warns the Corinthians to examine themselves concerning the communion table.
In verse 29, he who eats and drinks and does not discern the true meaning of the Lord’s supper or the meaning behind communion, brings judgment upon himself.
Transubstantiation =
The Roman Catholic doctrine that the whole substance of the bread and the wine changes into the literal substance of the body and blood of Christ.
The Corinthian church had been taught the doctrine of communion or the Lord’s supper by the greatest Bible teacher of all time, the apostle Paul.
It is a very serious thing to have the doctrine and believe the doctrine and then to reject the application of it when needed.
The measure of discipline and punishment on a believer who has heard the truth of Bible doctrine and then has rejected it, is much worse than the believer who has never heard it.
JAM 3:1, be not many masters [or leaders] for they shall receive the greater condemnation
Moses, the greatest man in the Old Testament, was not allowed to go into the promise land.
It was not because he sinned, but because he misrepresented the character and nature of God.
The Lord is much
harder on those who misrepresent
His character and nature, then He is on those who sin.
Rev2:5, “Remember therefore from where you have fallen,”
The congregation of Israel sinned over and over again against the Lord and the Lord gave them 10 tests to respond and recover.
Most believers are so
“sin conscious”
that they do not even see the wickedness and the seriousness of misrepresenting the character and nature of God and getting involved in evil.
Here is another individual who sins, and yet God is much more merciful to the one who sins than He is to the one in a position of authority misrepresenting the character and nature of God to others.
When this happens the hardness of the heart and the blackout of the soul now develops.
This means that you cannot even recall doctrines you have learned and you have lost spiritual strength.
DEU 28:28, “the Lord will smite you with madness and with blindness and with bewilderment of heart.”
Then in a pressure situation totally fail, and then live in the arrogance of his decisions without the humility to recover.
He will be under a greater condemnation and judgement,
JAM 3:1, LUK 12:48.
2. Those who listen to him will be totally affected by his false views, even though they think that they are strong enough not to,
LUK 6:40.
LUK 6:40, “a pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.”
