Maximizing Grace. Part 4.

Sunday, May 24, 2009

We saw how God wants to bless us out, and how the release of our escrow blessings depends on our capacity, and how our capacity depends on our lifestyle towards Bible doctrine.

It is quite a divine chain reaction, and if your free will follows this chain, your life will be above and beyond what you thought it could be, far greater than any life this world can offer you.

10 points on Maximizing Grace

1. On the eternal level, we are billionaires, having every happiness and blessing we could ever imagine, sitting there right now in an escrow bank account in heaven with our names on it.

We have a free ticket to heaven through believing in the Lord Jesus Christ (EPH 2:8-9, ROM 6:23), we have an inheritance on top of that, we have a spiritual gift, and the filling of the Holy Spirit whenever we want Him.

“It is the will of God that human beings should get into moral relationship with him, and His covenants are for this purpose. Why doesn’t God save me? He has saved me, but I have not entered into relationship with Him.

Why doesn’t God do this and that? He has done it, the point is - will I step into covenant relationship? All the great blessings of God are finished and complete, but they are not mine until I enter into relationship with Him on the basis of His covenant.” - Oswald Chambers

2. After salvation there is another call to take the positional righteousness that we received and transform that to experiential righteousness in time through PVTD and the FHS. EPH 4:1-7

EPH 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing forbearance to one another in love,

3. Sometimes to keep in the lifestyle that God has for us, we simply need to “flee”.

1Tim 6:11 (speaking of the love of money)…
But flee from these things, you man of God; and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness.

Flee = pheugo (fyoo’-go); to run away.

1 Co 6:18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.

4. If we humble ourselves and develop the capacity, we can receive this greater grace, but that only comes from our daily decisions for Bible doctrine. James 4:1-10

Are we willing to put aside our own desires and comforts, so that we will mourn for a while, go without for a while, waiting for God to promote us?

5. It is the winning believer who is maximizing God grace, because he humbled himself towards practicing God’s ways, not his own. 2PE 1:5-11

If you are implacable (never satisfied), selfish, demanding, whining, rationalizing, etc… you are living in reversionism. Even if you are taking in the Word of God.

6. We must be on guard at all times, that’s what a good Christian soldier does in the devil’s world. 1PE 5:6-8

7. Lifestyle is the key to becoming a winning believer or a losing believer, to receiving our inheritance or not. Gal 5, Eph 5.

Of course we will sin until the day we die, but we must be alert for when something becomes a daily habit.
It is then that it can overtake you, and when will you have time to be filled with the Spirit? It is then that you become a casualty of the invisible war.

So we are alert for what we practice, because our daily decisions determine positive momentum in the spiritual life, or negative momentum in the cosmic system.

8. You and I have the opportunity of a lifetime.
But how we will spend the blessings of God’s grace?
Or will we be embarrassed at His coming? 1JO 2:28-29

Our escrow account will not be released to us until we grow in His grace and knowledge and develop the capacity to handle His grace blessings properly.

So there are times to flee, and times to pursue the things of God. And when we must flee from certain temptations, that is actually a part of running the race for God. 1Cor 9:24-27

God has an unlimited provision for us, HIS GRACE! But we’ve got to know how to use it, and how to get more of it! PHI 2:14-16

We can catch ourselves living in Cosmic 1 or Cosmic 2; in a lifestyle of arrogant self-righteousness, or of immorality. Both are deceptions from the kingdom of darkness!

9. Humility is a great indication of being ready to receive more grace from God, analogous to Grace Orientation.

1PE 5:5 You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for God is opposed to the proud, but gives Grace to the humble.

Grace Orientation flows out of genuine humility in our souls, which in turn is fed by our growing awareness that nothing good dwells in us, that is our flesh.

And the evidence of Jesus’ humility is seen in Him regarding others, all of sinful mankind, as more important than Himself! That’s Grace Orientation! And that’s “humility of mind”!

And that is what frees God to bless you with even greater grace, the supergrace blessings of life, reserved for those who are simply willing to follow HIM.

10. Truly understanding God’s grace will motivate us to live and work for Him! Thankfulness and love will drive us to happily serve Him! 1CO 15:10

1 Co 15:9-10 For I am the least of the apostles, and not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me did not prove vain; but I labored even more than all of them, yet not I, but the grace of God with me.

And then we choose from our free will to live for Him, do His works, and fully maximize of the grace of God!

1PE 5:6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,

The Blessings of SuperGrace

Category one: Spiritual blessings.
Sharing the perfect happiness of God, and occupation with Christ is maximum love for God, which is intensified in SuperGrace.

For the SuperGrace believer, he is able to see spiritual blessings when he wears the shroud of suffering that never seems to terminate.

Phil 1:29“Because to you it has been graciously given with reference concerning Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on behalf of Him,”

1 Pe 5:10-11 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. To Him be dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Category two: Temporal blessings.
Wealth, either received or acquired.

It is when God promotes you that you are truly qualified for the job. There’s also technical prosperity or mental prosperity which is the ability to think and concentrate which will give you a Greater capacity for life.

Category three: Blessings by association. Those around a mature believer are blessed by their relationship with that person.
Category four: Historical blessings (2TI 1:5).
He stabilizes his generation, and becomes a stabilizer for future historical generations.
The ebb and flow of history does not disturb the tranquility of the mature believer.

EPH 4:14“As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves, and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;”

Category five: Undeserved suffering.
Only in time does God have the opportunity to give us pressure, disaster, and undeserved suffering to prove to Satan and the fallen angels that God’s Word can handle any situation.
