ISA 11:2 And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

a. The filling of the Spirit (the Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him).
b. Spirit of wisdom – chokmah, application.
c. Spirit of understanding, (perception).

d. Spirit of counsel (plans or purpose).
e. Spirit of strength, motivational and functional virtue.
f. Spirit of knowledge, ability to interpret history.
g. Spirit of respect of the Lord.

Seven spirits in ISA 11:2 = one Spirit, God the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity whose divine power sustained the humanity of Christ while He lived on earth as He fulfilled the PPOG for His life.

The majority inevitably is unreliable and unstable, and easily misled.

There are so many born again believers who allow the evil and the corruption of the cosmic system to cause them not to wait upon God and follow the majority.

EXO 23:2 “You shall not follow the majority in doing evil,”
MAT 7:13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.”
MAT 7:14 “For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it.”

REV 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world;

They are constantly being tempted, and they are constantly candidates for being influenced by the mob, influenced by the majority, rather than being influenced by the teaching of Bible doctrine.

1. People influence people, believers influence believers.
1CO 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

2. Cosmic believers, especially when they are in the majority, influence positive believers, 1CO 5:9-11.

3. Every positive believer must be very alert from the perception of doctrine, not to be disillusioned, or distracted, or misled by other believers,
ROM 16:17-18.

4. The presence of cosmic believers as a majority in any local church means the potential spread of apostasy through cosmic involvement, 2TI 3:5.

5. Every cosmic believer in the local church is an evangelist for Satan and the cosmic system, 1JO 3:9.

6. It is easier for believers to follow their friends into the cosmic system, than to remain faithful to the teaching of Bible doctrine.

PRO 13:20, He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will suffer harm.

7. Friendship means influence, and if it is a cosmic believer influence that means cosmic involvement, and cosmic involvement eventually leads to the sin unto death.

MAR 4:24 “Take care what you listen to.”
LUK 8:18 “Therefore take care how you listen;”

Arrogance not only means that whatever abilities or talents, or greatness you have in life is neutralized, but arrogance inevitably means loss of discernment.

1. Moral people can be affectionate without being passionate in category three relationship – social life and friendship.
Immoral people are passionate without being affectionate in social life.

2. Affection belongs to category three love (friendship).
Affection and passion belong to category two love (right man-right woman).

3. Affection comes from the soul and is meaningful in human relationship when it includes both integrity and capacity for love.
Sexual life belongs to category two love; social life belongs to category three love.

4. Passion comes from the body and must be controlled or regulated by integrity of the soul.

5. For the believer, integrity of the soul is the result of living inside the PPOG learning Bible doctrine on a consistent basis.
6. Arrogance destroys the balance of affection and passion.

7. Arrogance cannot discern between passion and affection, therefore arrogance assumes.
8. Arrogance assumes that a show of affection from the opposite sex is an invitation to passion.

9. Only humility can distinguish between affection and passion.
10. Arrogance becomes aggressive in lust and attempted seduction.

Just as there is a breakdown in social life of a nation, so there is breakdown of spiritual life in a congregation, and they break down the same way, arrogance.

Arrogance disintegrates social life, and converts it into degeneracy, and arrogance takes positive volition and converts it into negative volition overnight.

It is the content of his message that counts, it may be good and excellent and understandable, but there is no such thing as a great minister.

A minister who does his job right is going to be despised, hated, loved, rejected, accepted – you name it and he is going to be the recipient, that’s not greatness.

If you have your right pastor, the content of his message is meaningful to you.
The greatness in the ministry is in the content of doctrine.

The pastor must be alert to avoid arrogance, and protect his congregation from arrogance through doctrinal inculcation from the pulpit.

Be constantly alert and strengthen, stabilize, through doctrinal teaching the remnant, the minority of positive believers in the congregation, who are about to die.

Cosmic death leads to the sin unto death, and the only check on cosmic death, perpetuated into the sin unto death, is the principle of rebound and keep moving.

Here is Simon the Pharisee, a man of the cloth, looked up to.
Here is the town hooker, looked down upon.

He is a church leader.
She is a streetwalker.
He makes a living promoting standards.
She’s made a living breaking them.

He’s hosting the party.
She’s crashing it.
Don’t think thoughts you don’t want Jesus to hear.

1CO 11:15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her for a covering.

She uses both to bathe the feet of Christ – “she rained tears” on His feet.

LUK 7:34 – He was a friend of tax-gatherers and prostitutes!
LUK 15:1 All the tax-gatherers and the prostitutes were coming near Him to listen to Him.

Simon’s “love” is regulated and stingy.
Her love is extravagant and risky.

What one discovery has she made that Simon hasn’t?
What one treasure does she cherish that Simon doesn’t?
God’s love.

She came thirsty.
People like Simon don’t need grace; they analyze it.
While she drinks up, he puffs up.

What is our typical strategy for treating a troubled relationship?
Try harder.
You give love by first receiving it.

EPH 4:32 And be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
PHI 2:6 who, although He preexisted in the essence of God, did not think equality with God a gain to be seized,

2PE 3:9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.
ROM 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

LUK 6:35 “But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil {men.}”

Apart from God, “the heart is deceitful above all things,” JER 17:9.
The secret to loving is living loved.

EPH 3:17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

The 7:47 Principle: Receive first, love second.
God loves you. Personally. Powerfully. Passionately.
