We have freedom today because of military victory.
We have spiritual freedom today, because of the victory wrought by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on the cross.
JOH 8:31-32 “If you abide in My word, you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
MAT 24:6-7 “And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for {those things} must take place, but {that} is not yet the end.”
MAT 24:7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes.
1PE 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
1PE 3:18 For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, in order that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;
GAL 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us - for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.”
2CO 5:21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
ISA 14:13 But you said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven;”
JOH 3:31 - He came from above and descended upon the earth -
“He who comes from above is above all, he who is of the earth is from the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.”
1TH 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first.
Nothing can describe the full magnitude of the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made just to be born a man and then going to the cross and bearing the sins of all mankind.
While Satan, the ruler of the world, wants to exalt himself and ascend, our Lord used His divine prerogatives and the free exercise of His will, to voluntarily subordinate Himself to God the Father even though He was equal to the Father.
He who has ascended, the Lord Jesus Christ, first descended, but the one who began the angelic conflict, Satan, in negative volition would ascend, but ends up descending.
Ultimately descending to the point where he is thrown down to the earth in the middle of the Tribulation, and then he descends into the abyss for the Millennial reign, and then finally he descends again into the lake of fire, forever and ever and ever.
In the middle of the Tribulation, Satan will descend upon the earth because he is thrown out of heaven, REV 12:9.
At the Second Advent, before the Millennial reign begins, a seraph angel is said to throw Satan into the abyss,
REV 20:3.
Finally, at the end of time, he will be thrown down to the lake of fire, REV 20:10.
ISA 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Neither are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. For {as} the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
MAT 23:12 “Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.”
God prepares us for the mountain tops in the valleys of life, and He prepares us for the valleys on the mountain tops of life.
Times of adversity are not times to quit the spiritual life; they are times to shift into a higher gear.
Times of prosperity are not times to coast, but to concentrate on the source of our blessing.
It is the mind of Christ, 1CO 2:16.
Let it be in you, PHI 2:5.
Be armed with it, 1PE 4:1.
It is the voice of the Holy Spirit, HEB 3:7.
HEB 4:7 - do not harden your hearts today when you hear it.
It is the good word of God, HEB 6:5.
It is the word of God, HEB 4:12, that is alive and powerful.
‘amar = to boast within yourself about yourself, to challenge, to charge, to speak against, to suppose.
The ones who every time they walked into a room where our Lord was, they got our Lord angry, MAR 3:5.
All of us at some time or another have contact with self-righteous moral Christians whose righteousness is nothing more than a menstrual rag, ISA 64:6.
PRO 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it {flow} the springs of life.
I will ascend into heaven = the third heaven where God is, 2CO 12:2.
1PE 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you at the proper time,
I will raise my throne or exalt my throne above the stars of God = the angels, JOB 38:7, Jud 13, REV 12:3-4 - stars are angels.
PHI 2:3 Do nothing motivated by contentiousness or ambitious pride, but with humility of mind [by means of grace orientation] let each of you keep on considering one another as more important than himself;
I will sit on the mount of the assembly in the recesses of the north = rulership over the government of the earth,ISA 2:1-4.
MAT 20:26 “Whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant,”
Clouds are used to represent the divine presence of God or His glory.
Jehovah appeared in cloud, EXO 16:10.
Jehovah rides upon a cloud, PSA 104:3.
JOH 3:30 “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
1JO 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we shall be. We know that, when He appears, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him just as He is.
DEU 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live,
His real title however is “star of the morning,” his glorious heavenly identification before his fall.
REV 22:16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright morning star.”
The titles “star of the morning” and “the bright morning star” are much the same - just like Christ is called “the last Adam” as a successor to the first Adam who fell.
The highest and greatest reward a believer can receive is said to be the order of the morning star.
It is the ultimate decoration for a human, the order of the morning star.
