Real spiritual death, which is separation from God in a state of sin.

When Adam died spiritually, he entered into a state of total separation from God.

Adams spiritual death was demonstrated by the fact that when Jesus Christ came in the garden, Adam hid himself from God.

The substitutionary spiritual death of Christ on the cross was separation from God in a state of total perfection and impeccability.

Turn to 2CO 5:14
