Turn to PRO 30:5
Turn to ROM 4:2 Human good and being religious results in boasting,
EPH 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.”
Verbal Works.
Common grace; Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,”
Efficacious grace; 2CO 6:2b “On the day of salvation, I helped you [efficacious grace].”
Inviting Christ into your heart is total nonsense and blasphemy.
MAR 5:36 “But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.”
Acknowledging Christ publicly.
Ritual Works.
Baptism was a testimony to retroactive positional truth and current positional truth before the completion of the Canon.
GEN 15:6 “Then he [Abraham] believed in the Lord; and He [the Lord] reckoned it to him as righteousness.”
Partaking of the Eucharist is another form of ritual works. Turn to JOH 6:49
Psychological Works.
Corporate Works.
Religious Works.
Self-denial.
6. Maintain a healthy body.
Behavioral Works.
Moral degeneracy – Christians in their arrogance self-righteousness are trying to straighten everyone out, to superimpose Christian laws and standards on everyone.
Salvation by personality change.
Emotional Works.
Turn to ROM 3:20
GEN 3:15 the serpent would bruise The Lord Jesus Christ on His heel as a prophecy concerning the cross.
GEN 3:15 “And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”
PSA 110:1 “(A Psalm of David.) The Lord says to my Lord: Sit at My right hand, Until I make Thine enemies a footstool for Thy feet.”
Salvation by Invitation.
REV 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any man will open, I will come in to him and sup with him.”
JER 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?”
ROM 5:12 “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world and death by sin, so death passed upon all men for all have sinned.”
ROM 6:23 The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Commitment Salvation.
Lordship Salvation
The baptism of the Holy Spirit must never be confused with the salvation ministry of the Holy Spirit in efficacious grace.
ROM 11:6 “But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace.”
