The ministry of God the Holy Spirit concerning sin.
2Cor 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
The Old Sin Nature was nailed to the cross and after salvation every Bel has the ability to maintain a CONDITION that will reflect their POSITION and in doing so they can live a kingdom lifestyle right now in time!
Sin is no longer the stumbling block or the ball and chain that distracts us and drags us into an emotional rollercoaster of chain sinning – shame, guilt, anger, insecurity, etc. We have a sovereign combination of Bible Doctrine and the filling power of the Spirit (new nature) to achieve victory right now in time.
Gal 5:17 For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
(Many Christians never realize this is the bulk of the spiritual battle we face)
2Co 10:4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses (ochyrōma).
(Both used in the plural – more than one, possibly many!)
2Co 10:5 We are destroying speculations
(human viewpoint, satanic thoughts) and every lofty thing (arrogance) raised up against the knowledge of God (Bible Doctrine), and we are taking every thought captive (brought under complete control) to the obedience of Christ,
Rom 7:18 For I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh; for the willing is present in me, but the doing of the good is not. 19 For the good that I want, I do not do, but I practice the very evil that I do not want.
(Paul was about 20 years into his ministry at this point)
Mat 12:24 But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, “This man casts out demons only by Beelzebul the ruler of the demons.”
(Blasphemy against the Spirit)
Mat 12:31 “Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
Act 7:51 “You men who are stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears are always resisting the Holy Spirit; you are doing just as your fathers did.
The resistance of the Holy Spirit is any person during the course of human history, from the fall of Adam to the end of the Millennium, rejecting Jesus Christ as the savior. (Unbel)
1Cor 2:14 But a natural (psychikos) man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.
Gen 6:3 Then the LORD said, “My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; nevertheless his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”
In this passage it says that the Holy Spirit would not keep striving, attempting to guide fallen man forever.
Jhn 16:8 “And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment;
Jhn 16:8 — “ … He will convict you concerning sin, concerning righteousness, and concerning judgement.” These three are described so that we are not led astray. God the Holy Spirit is the guide as to when sin takes ahold of someone’s life.
Jhn 16:9 — “Concerning sin because they do not believe in Me.” The only sin that the Holy Spirit deals with for the Unbel, is rejection of Christ, for that is the issue in the gospel.
Jhn 16:10 — “Concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you no longer see Me.” Once Jesus Christ is ascended He is accepted at the right hand of the Father. He has a perfect righteousness and when you believe in Christ you receive that righteousness and you are acceptable to God the Father.
Jhn 16:11 — “Concerning judgement, because the ruler of this world (Satan) has been judged.” He was judged at the cross. Therefore because of these things God the Holy Spirit has the glorious ministry of taking the gospel and making it a reality in the soul of spiritually dead person.
2Cor 4:3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
Then we have the other category: sins which only the Bels can commit against the Holy Spirit. There are three of them: lying to the Spirit — Acts 5:3; quenching the Holy Spirit — 1 Thes 5:19; grieving the Holy Spirit — Eph 4:30.
When generosity is genuine it will have no strings attached, no ulterior motives and will not be brought up again by the giver once it has been received. It is done from a place of maturity and selflessness that recognizes God is the one who blessed you, so it never really was YOURS from the beginning.Act 5:1 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, 2 and kept back some of the price for himself, with his wife’s full knowledge, and bringing a portion of it, he laid it at the apostles’ feet
Act 5:3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land?
Sin removes the filling power of God the Holy Spirit it interferes in fellowship with God the Father and puts us backward into a state of fallen man (OSN). The Spirit is grieved by sin in a Bels life but it is not a state of grieving the Spirit until we remain in the old nature.
Eph 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.
It must be remembered that the function of evil in reversionism produces both sinfulness as well as human good. Grieving the Spirit emphasizes the sinfulness of the negative Bel, whereas quenching the Spirit emphasizes the flesh at work, human good produced to fulfill God’s plan, done by the Bel outside the PPOG.
1Thes 5:19 Do not quench the Spirit; 20 do not despise prophetic utterances.
Do not belittle, disrespect or disregard teaching & future prophetic events such as covered in Church Age Mystery Doctrine.
Eph 4:30 Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
2Cor 1:21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us in God. 22 who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.
1Cor 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
1Co 12:11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
It is a command in – Eph 5:18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,
Filled– is imperative in the Greek and in the present tense which means the Bel is commanded to habitually be filled.
1Joh 2:6 the one who says he abides in Him (Christ) ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked.
The Lord Jesus Christ was led by God the Holy Spirit. In His humanity He was filled by the Spirit throughout His whole life.
1Joh 2:28 Now little children, abide in Him, so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame at His coming.
Joh 15:5 “I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”
This is in reference to a Bel reflecting Christ because they are filled with Spirit and producing fruit of the Spirit.
1Joh 1:7 but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
IF – 3rd class condition, meaning a high probability – but it is up to the Bel.
Col 1:10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.
Col 2:6 Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.
You received salvation by the word and the ministry of God the Holy Spirit along with your faith.
Col 3:9 Do not lie to another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices, 10 and have put on the new self who is being renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him-
Eph 4:24 and put on the new self, which in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
1Joh 1:9 if we (Bels) confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
