Awareness of Hagar’s pregnancy produces arrogance in Hagar.
Operation boomerang -Hagar promotes herself over Sarai, and Sarai, who promoted herself over Abram, is reduced to being the jealous one, and Hagar will be the arrogant one.
Menoun – Menoun = Wrong!
God’s blessings are associated with what is inside the soul, not what is inside the womb.
Hear – pres-act-part, akouontes – a*kouvonte” = consistent reception of doctrine; to listen, concentrate, understand, learn, to give a hearing.
Observe – pres-act-part – phulassontes – fulavssonte” = retention of doctrine, converting gnosis to epignosis by PVTD, to guard, defend, watch over, protect, keep safe, retain.
Whenever there is a measure of success, there is also a vulnerability for arrogance.
Satan is the enemy of Bible doctrine, MAT 13:19, 39, REV 12:13, 15, and he attacks your capacity for life.
He is the enemy of the Church (the royal family), REV 2:9-13, 24.
The body of Christ, ruled by the head, our Lord Jesus Christ, has received the delegated divine power to resist the devil.
1JO 4:4 “Greater is He who is in you than He who is in the world.”
Phulasso = to guard Bible doctrine in your heart. Phulasso = to defend the Word of God.
1PE 3:15 “But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you.”
Phulasso = to watch over, to protect, to keep safe, or to retain.
MAT 13:19 “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what has been sown in his heart.”
There is no happiness in life for the believer apart from Bible doctrine, which must come first in your life.
1JO 1:4 “In fact, we write these things that our happiness might be completed.”
The woman’s womb is not a means of determining her superiority or her inferiority.
Too many times a normal thing in life is amplified by evil.
The only thing that counts is doctrine in the soul, not a blastocyst, or an embryo, or a fetus in the womb.
Then a Womb
Greatness is always measured in terms of the spiritual life and the soul, but never in terms of the body.
Gen 16 – Hagar is self-conscious and she’s looking for self-vindication.
PRO 25:27 It is not good to eat much honey, Nor is it glory to search out one’s own glory.
PRO 27:2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; A stranger, and not your own lips.
People who have an inferiority complex and are insecure are always competing to prove they are really not as bad as they think they are.
