Kleronomos: Inheritance in time. Inheritance in eternity.
Kleronomos: Inheritance in time. Inheritance in eternity.
Consider pres-mid-ind logizomai to conclude on the basis of thinking, not in terms of emotion or feelings.
present time a certain portion of that time will be devoted to undeserved suffering.
The ultimate end and object of salvation is our glorification.
The suffering of nature, verses 19-22.
The suffering of the mature believer, verses 23-25.
The groaning (anthropopathism) of the Holy Spirit on our behalf, verses 26-27. Verse 28, we have the promise to the mature believer.
The glory that shall be revealed in us, verses 29-30.
Paul is emphasizing that the ultimate end and object of our salvation is our glorification.
Glorification means full and entire deliverance from sin, evil, and the entire old sin nature in every respect, (body, soul, spirit).
Man at the beginning had glory, GEN 1:26.
GEN 1:26 “Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness;”
ROM 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,”
Man still has a kind of memory of what he once was and he is always trying to return to it and persuade himself that he is succeeding.
ISA 57:20 “But the wicked are like the tossing sea, For it cannot be quiet, And its waters toss up refuse and mud.”
Man has the feeling within him that he is meant for it, that he ought to have it, but that he hasnt got it.
PSA 19:12 “Who can understand his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.”
Salvation is the only door he must go through to discover.
