The Mysteries and blessings behind the Shekinah Glory.
We have begun to note one more major doctrine that is extremely important and that is the Doctrine of what is known as THE BIG GENUFLEX.
Point 1. Definition and Description.
Point 2. Jesus Christ has three categories of royalty.
Point 3. At the Big Genuflex, we will acknowledge Christ's battlefield royalty.
1. Jesus Christ became true humanity to do the will of the Father, HEB 1-14.
2. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity.
3. As God, Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be the mediator between God and man, Job 9:2,32-33; 1Ti 2:5-6.
4. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a High Priest for the human race.
5. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a Priest for the human race.
6. Jesus Christ became true humanity to be our high priest after the order (or pattern) of Melchizedek, HEB
7:4-5,14, 28; 10:5, 10-14.
7. Jesus Christ had to become true humanity to be a king and rule forever.
8. He had to be the son of David to fulfill the Davidic covenant to Israel, 2Sa 7:8-16; Psa 89:20-37.
Now, these are just the simple definitions that presume your understanding of the Hypostatic Union and how they are all closely related to and based upon your understanding of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
Now, we need to see the principles that are related in detail with the information that is needed in details.
First of all we have HEB 10:8 After saying above, "Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and\ sacrifices for sin Thou hast not desired, nor hast Thou taken pleasure\ in them" (which are offered according to the Law),
HEB 10:9 then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Thy will." He takes away the first in order to establish the second.
1. Jesus Christ became true humanity to do the will of the Father, HEB 1-14.
The first mention of the Lord living inside of man as new revelation of the glory of God living in man that the Jews recognized what the phrase “Emanuel, God is with us” is found in two passages in the New Testament where the glory of God or what the Jews called the Shekinah glory is found in Joh 14:20; Joh 17:22-26.
We begin in Joh 14:20, where the our Lord said "In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
JOH 14:21 "He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me; and he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I will love him, and will disclose Myself to him."
This was the beginning of the glory of God being revealed to man as the “glory” or as the “Shekinah Glory” living in man.
The Shekinah glory was now the “Net Testament” mainifestation of a glory the Jews had never seen before like they are about to see.
In the Old Testament, the Shekinah glory was limited because the believers could not experience the closeness of God that they are about to see.
Now, all believers can have the glory alive in them by understandind that what only a few believers have could have in the Old Testament, which were the priests in the tent or the tabernacle now every believer can have in the New Testament.
Why?
Because Rank has It’s privileges.
Because all believers have the “Shekinah glory in them now, they now share the privileges that only those who had the Shekinah glory in the Old Testament had, even though there were only a few who knew about the blessings and took advantage of the privlieges of their divine blessings.
This is why our Lord said in Joh 14:20, "In that day [Church-age] you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
"In that day" means literally beginning on the day of Pentecost, when the Church‑age began. The phrase “In that day” refers to the next day the “Skekinah Glory” is introduced to the believers of the Church-age.
Now, there are 3 things that they are going to learn and know, and this is the structure of our relationship with God.
First of all, Joh 14:20, "In that day [Church-age] you shall know that I am in My Father,
When the Lord says He is in the Father, we go back to His oneness and equality with the essence of God the Father.
Then we have the phrase Joh 14:20.....and you in Me,
There are two guarantee signatures of divine blessing on the Church-age believer.
The first is the sealing ministry of the Holy Spirit as a guarantee and a down-payment of the blessing and the security from God. This refers to being sealed by the Spirit.
As a part of the ministry of the “Shekinah Glory” you and I will be sealed by the Holy Spirit.
The second blessing is the indwelling of Jesus Christ.
Just like I began with the Shekinah Glory being a blessings inside of man, it also introduces mystery doctrine to church-age believers.
The Shekinah Gory reveals to all believers the doctrine of the indwelling of Jesus Christ now living inside of man and it is no longer a neglected doctrine but one of the mystery doctrines now revealed.
God the Father is said to indwell the believer in Eph 4:6.
EPH 4:4-6, There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
God the Son indwells the body of every believer; Joh 14:20.
God the Holy Spirit is now alive in us; 1Cor 3:16; 6:19-20; 2Co 6:16.
1CO 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
1CO 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
1CO 6:20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.
Then look at 2Co 6:16 Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; And I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
2CO 6:17 "Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate," says the Lord. "And do not touch what is unclean\; And I will welcome you.
CO 6:18 "And I will be a father to you, And you shall be sons and daughters to Me," Says the Lord Almighty.
All of these are benefits and blessings that come from understanding the “Skekinah Glory” living inside of man.
Joh 14:20, "In that day [Church-age] you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
Staying with the number 8 in the doctrine of numerology, I find it very interesting that just like there are eight reasons for the Lord Jesus Christ to become human, that there are also eight specific references in the New Testament regarding the “Shekinah Glory” indwelling the Lord Jesus Christ.
And I'm talking about his “Shekinah Glory” indwelling the body of every believer in the Church age.
The “Shekinah Glory” one of the two major guarantees that God has provided for you your very own predesigned plan from eternity past and your escrow blessings within that plan.
Let's take up the word Shekinah first.
"Shekinah" is derived from the Hebrew noun SHAKAN, meaning to dwell. It refers to the fact that Jesus Christ indwelt certain sacred buildings in Israel.
Shekinah was coined by the Rabbis who developed the technical word to speak of God as dwelling among His people. It was used to express the invisible presence of God with Israel. On the other hand, Glory" is the Hebrew Biblical word KABODH, used for the visible manifestations of Jesus Christ as a Theophany.
Shekinah itself represents the invisibility of Christ, the God of Israel, actually indwelling three sacred buildings during the age of Israel.\
Kabodh and shakan are root words that we get the word “Skekinah from.
He indwelt places like the Tabernacle, Solomon's Temple, and Zerubbabel's Temple.
And so the glory represents the visible manifestation in a Theophanic form.
There are also different aspects of the “Shekinah Glory.”
1. There were also prophecies of the “Skekinah Glory” Joh 14:19-20.
2. There were verifications of the “Skekinah Glory” in our Lord's prayer for the Church in Joh 17.
If you want to see what an important doctrine this is look at Joh 17.
JOH 17:22-26 "And the glory which Thou hast given Me I have given to them; that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, that the world may know that Thou didst send Me, and didst love them, even as Thou didst love Me. Father, I desire that they also, whom Thou hast given Me, be with Me where I am, in order that they may behold My glory, which Thou hast given Me; for Thou didst love Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, although the world has not known Thee, yet I have known Thee; and these have known that Thou didst send Me; and I have made Thy name known to them, and will make it known; that the love wherewith Thou didst love Me may be in them, and I in them."
Remember that Joh 17 is our Lord's prayer for the church not the "our Father" which is often called the Lord's prayer.
