The schemes of the devil = Satan attacking both the grace of God and the judicial decisions of God.

The very fact that we are told to clothe ourselves in the armor, and that we have to put on each piece, and we are told how to use each piece, reveals that every one of us is engaged in this battle.

2SA 12:13 Then David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord.”
JER 3:13 “Only acknowledge your iniquity, That you have transgressed against the Lord your God”

“Judge ourselves,” 1CO 11:31.
“Grieve not the Spirit,”EPH 4:30.
“Quench not the Spirit,” 1TH 5:19.
“Put off the old man,” EPH 4:23.
“Repent,” Rev2:5,16.

ROM 13:12 Put on the armor of light.
ROM 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ,
EPH 4:24 and put on the new self,

The very fact that we are told to clothe ourselves in the armor, and that we have to put on each piece, and we are told how to use each piece, reveals that every one of us is engaged in this battle.

“Put on the breastplate of righteousness” – descriptive genitive noun dikaiosunes = righteousness, integrity, virtue, correct thinking.

In this context it is used for the attainment of divine integrity through consistent perception, metabolization, and application of Bible doctrine.

The belt is the absolute truth of the word of God or Bible doctrine, and the breastplate is attached to that truth.

You will never have this integrity and operate in the Royal Family honor code unless you first of all desire truth. Then, you have to listen to truth so that you have knowledge of truth. Thirdly, you have to think truth, and this is the basis for Christian integrity.

The breastplate of righteousness is the virtue and the integrity attained through the perception, metabolization, and application of Bible doctrine.

Dikaoisune is used in the New Testament for the justice and righteousness of God and therefore the virtue, the honor, and the integrity of God.

That honor and integrity can only be attained by learning the truth…..,
Knowing the truth…..,
Thinking the truth….,
And applying the truth.

God has provided the thinking or the mind of Christ, 1CO 2:16, which is Bible doctrine, as our means of attaining the honor, the virtue, and the integrity of God.

The Doctrine of the Royal Family Honor Code –
What It Means to Put on the Breastplate of Righteousness.

a. The Royal Family honor code or putting on the breastplate of righteousness is a system of spiritual integrity mandated by God and revealed in the mystery doctrine of the Church-age.
b. The Royal Family honor code or putting on the breastplate of righteousness relates to personal integrity on the part of believers in relationship with other persons.

The honor code includes: the filling of Spirit, doctrinal orientation, grace orientation, and a personal sense of destiny.

Cared for – aor-pass-part – diakoneo = to be ministered to through doctrine.
It means to be penned, to be written, to be prepared.

As a part of the Royal Family honor code and putting on the breastplate of righteousness, the recipients of Bible doctrine must not only apply truth, but communicate it in terms of their lives in relationship to others.

The Royal Family honor code or putting on the breastplate of righteousness centers around two words: Truth and integrity.

Integrity = adherence to spiritual, moral, and ethical principles related to truth and honesty.
Gossip, maligning, slandering is a violation of the Royal Family honor code.

TIT 3:2 Speak evil of no man, do not be argumentative, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.

There is a great enemy to the honor code or putting on the breastplate of righteousness – gossip, maligning, and slandering others.

EPH 5:3 But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints;

Each of us has a human relationship tonight that is a cross.
“Take up your cross, and follow Me.”
When He speaks of taking up your cross and following Him, the subject is relationships.

MAT 10:39 “He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.”

The solution to the cross of your bad relationship tonight is occupation with the One who went to His cross for you.

The Christian way of life is supposed to be a life of joy. And nowhere is that more true than at the cross. From God’s point of view, the cross is a place of joy, not sorrow.

The Christian way of life is supposed to be a life of joy, but it will not be that until you fix your eyes on Jesus as the solution to the cross of your relationship problems.

Relationships are transformed when we see the Risen Lord on the road, walking between the two of us.

The Lord who is love is between you and me forever.

EPH 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
EPH 5:22 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord.
EPH 6:1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
EPH 6:5 Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ;

COL 3:23-24, Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve.

Occupation with Christ is the only way a believer can handle the problems of marriage, romance, friendship, business, profession, or job, and the problems of constantly bumping into people in various situations.

He wants you to love others the same way that God the Father loves God the Son.
