e. The two unique Royal Commissions: The Royal Priesthood and the Royal Ambassadorship.

Every Church Age believer belongs to the most exalted priestly order of all time = the High Priesthood of the resurrected Jesus Christ.

Through-out the Bible a priest is a human being who represents some segment of the human race before God.

A. The family priesthood in which the patriarch of the family functioned as the priest for the family - the age of the Gentiles which had a family priesthood.

The firstborn became a priest after the death of the father, as illustrated by Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

B. The Levitical priesthood of Israel. This priesthood is limited to the Jewish age and the Millennium.

The age of Israel had a specialized priesthood of those who were born from the loins of Aaron and the tribe of Levi.

Their job was to teach doctrine and explain the rituals.

C. The royal priesthood.
During the Church-age, Jesus Christ is our High Priest.
We are in union with Christ; therefore, we
are royal priests, 1PE 2:5, 9.

1PE 2:5 you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house for a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1PE 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;

It is priestly function of your faithful intake of Bible doctrine which the basis for your spiritual growth. In the earlier priesthood’s the setting for the priest’s took place in material temples and physical altars.

The setting is in God’s predesigned plan and the altar is the believer’s very own soul;
HEB 13:9-10 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, through which those who were thus occupied were not benefited. We have an altar, from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat.

Although all believers are a fully ordained priest at the moment of salvation, their priesthood only becomes more effective as He attains spiritual growth.

For never before the Church age and never after the Rapture of the Church is there ever another universal priesthood; it is only for us in the Church Age.

HEB 13:9 Do not be carried away by varied and strange teachings; or doctrines

PSA 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Most people have never learned to take God’s side against themselves.

Your conviction should be that God’s word is ALWAYS RIGHT, and anyone who disagrees is ALWAYS WRONG.

"I’ll tell my Royal Family, my brothers and sisters, all I know about you; I’ll join them in worship and praise to you."

ISA 8:18-20 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion. And when they say to you, "Consult the mediums and the spiritists who whisper and mutter," should not a people consult their God? {Should they} {consult} the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because they have no dawn.

"No, we’re going to study the Scriptures." People who try the other ways get nowhere - just a dead end!

ROM 16:17-18 Now I urge you, brethren, keep your eye on those who cause dissensions and hindrances contrary to the teaching which you learned, and turn away from them. For such men are slaves, not of our Lord Christ but of their own appetites; and by their smooth and flattering speech they deceive the hearts of the unsuspecting.

1. A-Millennialism
is the false belief that there will be no millennium--no one thousand year
reign of Christ and His saints on earth.

REV 20:1-7 plainly tells us that there WILL be a Millennial reign.

Most A-millennialists steal God’s kingdom promises to Israel and apply them to the church today.

2. Annihilation - This false teaching is very popular with people like the "Jehovah’s Witnesses," who do not believe in a literal and eternal lake of fire for the punishment of the wicked. Annihilation is the belief that the wicked will be totally destroyed at some point in the future, and that no ETERNAL place of torment exists.

MAT 25:41 "Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;

Once the soul departs from the body, it is perfectly conscious and it has all the faculties of the soul but no ability to change anything that happened in life.

“Everlasting life" means to be in the Lake of fire where the worm or the conscience doesn’t die.
"Everlasting life" - after death unbelievers will experience and feel the pain of fire and everything associated with it.
"Everlasting life" means that they will feel the pain of burning for all eternity because they rejected TLJC as their Savior.

It’s a place where desire is never met, LUK 16:24 is where the rich man "cried out and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool off my tongue; for I am in agony in this flame.’

"Everlasting life" means that the unbeliever will go to a place described as a place of torment, LUK 16:28 for I have five brothers-- that he may warn them, lest they also come to this place of torment.’

It’s a place where the worm [conscience] never dies and the fire is never quenched, MAR 9:44.

It’s the Lake (a liquid form of lava) which burns with fire and brimstone, REV 21:8 "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

MAR 9:49 "For everyone will be salted with fire."
REV 14:11 "the smoke of their torment ascends up for ever and ever and they have no rest day or night."

3. The Apostolic Signs and Wonders.

MAR 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly {poison,} it shall not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.

The Charismatics operate under the false assumption that these signs are still in effect today and that it is THEIR duty to fulfill them.

1CO 1:22 For indeed Jews ask for signs,

Israel began with signs, ROM 4:11 Abraham received the sign of circumcision.

They lived by signs; DEU 11:18; JOS 4:6; 1SA 10:7; 2KI 19:29; ISA 7:14.
