“Who are you, O man, who answers back to God”.

Wednesday, December 1, 2010

1. Knowing the angelic conflict.
2. Knowing the glorification of God.
3. Knowing no man after the flesh.
4. Others
5. Bringing every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

“Why does He still find fault?”

But the real issue Paul says is not what I think or you think, but what does God think?

Paul was very controversial and therefore, anyone who mentions his teaching will also be subject to the hatred of those who claim to know TLJC.

The point is that when people are stupid, someone must have the courage to straighten them out, and that’s Paul does, as a fantastic person in the field of moral courage.

I’m sure there were some whimpy type believers who were saying, “How can Paul say such a thing?”

Because shock freezes erroneous ideas.
Shock also gets some people’s attention.
Shock is sometimes a fair substitute for concentration.

There’s another principle, until man discovers who and what he is, he cannot appreciate who and what God is.

The word large is the adjective megale which means great.

In 1PE 2:5, the church is called a spiritual house.

Therefore, in context, the large house refers to the church or the body of Christ. The vessels in the house refer to born again believers.

The Bible describes the human body of the born again believer in the Church-age as a vessel
1TH 4:4 that each of you know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

This verse says there are some believers who are vessels unto honor.
There are other believers who are vessels unto dishonor.

Some believers are being prepared through progressive sanctification through the word and through the Spirit to have a great impact in history.

Other believers through negative volition are becoming vessels unto dishonor.

These are the believers who react against the word of God and adopt the cosmic agenda or their own personal self-agenda rather than the divine agenda.

They are the salt that has lost its’ savor and is good for nothing in MAT 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how will it be made salty {again}? It is good for nothing anymore, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men.”

One that is being fitted out for honorable purposes called good work which in verse 21 means having a positive historical impact with divinely good production.

The other type of believers are loser believers, usually very moral and very self-righteous, works oriented and phoney!

Believers in the gold are those who have reached maximum glorification of God. Believers in the silver are those who have reached spiritual adulthood and are plugging on.
