Mal 2:12As for the man who does this, may the LORD cut off from the tents of Jacob everyone who awakes and answers, or who presents an offering to the LORD of hosts.

Neh 13:23 In those days I also saw that the Jews had married women from Ashdod, Ammon and Moab. 24 As for their children, half spoke in the language of Ashdod, and none of them was able to speak the language of Judah, but the language of his own people.

Heb 6:1 Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

Bels who play games with their relationship with God such as adding to the word and incorporating cosmic viewpoint or religious rituals are mocking the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whether it is the Bel or a nation once they stray far enough from their core beliefs it is only a matter of time before a loss of identity sets in and outside forces, lies and new age movements find a home.

Mal 2:13 “This is another thing you do: you cover the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping and with groaning, because He no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.

God looks upon divine institution #2 with uncompromising standards. God allows the Bels within marriage room for failure, pain & growth but eventually He will come in using discipline to wake one or both Bels up to get back inside His plan.

Bels who drift backward into apostasy will often only use lip service or ritual systems to try to cleanse themselves while still remaining active in the evil lifestyle, which was the case for the tribe of Judah at this point.

Luk 16:13No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”

(Mat 6:24)

1Co 10:20 No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons.

1Co 10:23 All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify.

The Church Age Bel is not held to a standard as far as rituals or dietary restrictions (O.T.). The C.A. Bel is responsible to know what will interfere with their walk with God.

A Bel can never dabble in mysticism or cosmic philosophy, because it will eventually have a negative effect on their spiritual walk. Similarly, the Bel who marries or attaches themselves in an intimate relationship with an Unbel can have a profoundly, negative impact on their lives.

2Cor 6:14 Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness? 15 Or what harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

Mal 2:15 “But not one has done so who has a remnant of the Spirit. And what did that one do while he was seeking a godly offspring? Take heed then to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of your youth.

Mal 2:15- speaks directly to the fact that Christ created man & woman establishing marriage (D.I. #2). The Lord not only breathed the breath of life into the bodies but blessed the union with a sanctifying power of the Spirit (set apart as a witness) for a divine purpose.Mal 2:14 “Yet you say, ‘For what reason?’ Because the LORD has been a witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant

Mal 2:16 “For I hate divorce,” says the LORD, the God of Israel, “and him who covers his garment with wrong,” says the LORD of hosts. “So take heed to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.”

Bels often find angles, excuses and even twisted scripture to make wiggle room that will justify decisions or lifestyles opposed to the PPOG. This is an evil garment covering the wrong in that Bel’s life.

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.

Jam 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

Jam 1:23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror; 24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.

Job 15:31 “Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself;
For emptiness will be his reward.

Mal 2:17 You have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet you say, “How have we wearied Him?” In that you say, “Everyone who does evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and He delights in them,” or, “Where is the God of justice?”

Psa 95:9  When your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, though they had seen My work. 10 “For forty years I loathed that generation, and said they are a people who err in their heart, and they do not know My ways.

Isa 29:15 Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD, and whose deeds are done in a dark place,
And they say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?”

Isa 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight!
