Under orders of the new Master: righteousness.
Thursday, March 11, 2010
Though we became enslaved to righteousness at the moment of salvation it is only through the system of doctrine that we will exploit this priceless gift of imputed righteousness.
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.
From the standard of doctrine comes capacity for blessing and agreement with the timing of God.
The mature believer expects to be blessed because he possesses perfect righteousness and has endurance, which is faith in the timing of God.
The positive believer confidently expects blessing to his righteousness when he has learned and metabolized the system of doctrine.
Slavery to the righteousness of God is the mature status of maximum blessing from God and maximum glorification of God in history.
The OSN had authority over the unbeliever. The righteousness of Christ has authority over the new believer, and so slavery is used as an illustration.
This slavery is the illustration of the point that if God doesn’t promote you, you are not promoted.
This means to put yourself or your members under orders with the goal being experiential sanctification.
The principle deals with the imputation of divine righteousness at salvation, resulting in the creation of a grace pipeline with divine justice and love on the giving end and divine righteousness on the receiving end.
This fulfils the doctrine that divine justice can only bless divine righteousness, and divine love is intense towards divine righteousness.
When we crack the maturity barrier righteousness demands blessing through capacity. Escrow blessings are poured through the pipeline. That is when God is glorified to the maximum by your life.
While you were married to your first husband you were excluded from the blessings of your second husband.
It is the righteousness of God that has been attacked in angelic and human history, being a slave to it is to put another nail in the coffin of those who have attacked your Lord.
