Overcoming personality conflicts for the cause of Christ.

Tuesday, April 24, 2001

“I urge” = pres/act/ind = parakalw [parakalo] = to admonish, command, appeal, urge, exhort, speak to privately, to encourage and strengthen by relief, to instruct, to teach.

Euodia = Eu*odivan [Euodian] = prosperous journey.

and = kaiV [kai] + the pres/act/ind of parakalo

Syntyche = Suntuvchn [Suntuchen] = pleasant acquaintance, happy chance, or an accident.

Mature believers who assume leadership and responsibility in local churches can still have personality conflicts.

Sol 2:15 “Catch the foxes for us, the little foxes that are ruining the vineyards, while our vineyards are in blossom.”

LUK 16:10 “He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.”

They have psychotic reversionism, neurotic reversionism, psychopathic reversionism, but if they don’t bother anyone, they’re allowed to stay.

It is harder to keep your priorities straight when you reach supergrace because than you may develop hypersensitivity and become antagonistic.

Hypersensitivity plus a few mental attitude sins, and you become very, very antagonistic.

Personality conflict is the inevitable result of spiritual death and mental attitude sins, and the concepts in Satan’s world and his policy of evil.

PRO 6:16-20 “There are six things which the Lord hates, Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: An arrogant look, a lying tongue, And hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that run rapidly to evil, A false witness {who} utters lies, And one who spreads strife among brothers.”

In the privacy of the priesthood they did not take the side of Barnabas or Paul, and the conflict was isolated.

JAM 3:6 “And the tongue is a fire, the very world of iniquity; the tongue is set among our members as that which defiles the entire body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and is set on fire by hell.”
