Pennsylvania Conference 2004 – The Church of Thyatira, Part 5.

Thursday AM, June 24, 2004

There is nothing unknown to the Lord, billions and billions and billions of years ago, He knew every thought, every decision, every action, that you would ever take.

Ergon = your accomplishments, or your Christian production.

Accusative – agape = virtue or integrity; virtue-love.

The invisible is the function of the royal priesthood, it is always directed toward God.

The visible is the function of the royal ambassadorship, it is always directed toward man.

Accusative noun – pistis = Bible doctrine resident in your soul and the three stages of the function of the faith-rest drill.

Stage one – faith reaches out and claims a promise; because sometimes when the believer is under pressure, he does not have the ability to think properly.

Fear and cowardice is simply lack of thinking.

PSA 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people Who have set themselves against me round about.

PSA 56:3 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee.

PSA 56:4 In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can mere man do to me?

PSA 91:5 You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day;

Then faith goes into the second stage, to the doctrinal rationales to be applied to the situation.
– The essence of God rationale applied to the situation.
– The plan of God rationale applied to the situation.

The plan of God rationale includes a thorough understanding of the plan of God and making such applications as a right thing must always be done in a right way.

The third stage – you reach doctrinal conclusions, whereby you deal with a situation from the standpoint of the application of Bible doctrine.

The faith-rest drill is vitally necessary in passing the different momentum tests.

Service – diakonia = to attend, to serve, to minister; those who render service to others, Christian hospitality; administrative service; behind the scenes activity.

Diakonia – diakonos = waiting on tables – any service function in genuine love, or the discharge of an obligation.

Perseverance – accusative noun – hupomone = patience, endurance, fortitude, steadfastness, persistence; in classical Greek or attic Greek, courageous endurance.

They will attend Bible class and pick up the vocabulary, but they will never stay in the PPOG long enough for it to become epignosis and growth.

When we reject the PPOG, when we move out of that, we move into cosmic one, with its different power systems of arrogance.

Or cosmic two, with its interlocking systems of NVTD.

We become negative toward doctrine from cosmic one, through preoccupation with self – grieving the Holy Spirit.

In cosmic two, we become antagonistic toward doctrine, and the combination of the two makes us the enemies of the cross, Phi 3 – quenching the Spirit, 1TH 5:18.

Deeds – noun – ergon = works, deeds, or production.

The secret to the Christian life in this verse = consistency.

You cannot live the Christian life unless you are organized.

The only way you can be organized is to be consistent in your thinking and in your actions.

Consistency in living inside the PPOG = consistency in the use of the rebound technique.

Secondly, consistency in a scale of values.

The third factor in consistency – the ability to keep plugging in spite of failure, distraction, disillusion, and setback.

Having consistency and passing momentum tests and going forward to maturity and glorifying the Lord.

1. The old sin nature test.
GAL 5:16.

The key to not carrying out the desire of the flesh is walking by means of the Spirit, not denying your flesh or trying to crucify yourself.

1) The old sin nature controls the soul either through self-righteous arrogance or sin.

2) The believer enters the cosmic system, either cosmic 1 or cosmic 2.

2. The Cosmic #1 test, 1JO 2:15-16.

The cosmic one test includes a test to see if you will get involved with motivational evil, mental attitude sins, arrogance, pride, jealousy, bitterness, hatred, anger, guilt, revenge, vindictiveness, implacability, self-pity, operation over-think.

3. The Cosmic #2 test.
This is Satan’s interlocking system of antagonism toward the Christian way of life and toward our Lord.

The attack of Cosmic Two is to cause believers to become antagonistic to the word of God, and consequently, toward the plan of God.

The cosmic system is the trap for the enslavement of the human race to Satan; it is the factory for the manufacture of losers.

4. The fourth type of momentum test is disaster testing.

a) Personal disaster testing is designed as suffering for blessing for acceleration of momentum.

b) Historical disaster, collective disaster, or national disaster testing is related to the bad decisions of others in which you are involved by association.

(1) Pain – physical or mental pain and anguish.
(2) Crime, where you are the victim.
(3) Persecution (not paranoia).
(4) Privation, meaning hunger, thirst, exposure, fatigue.
(5) Loss of loved ones, property, success, money, etc.
(6) Disease and handicaps.

You can lose by gaining, and gain by losing.

5. People testing.

1) In personal love or admiration, the object of your love often controls your life or provides for you unhappiness.

2) In personal hatred or animosity, the object of your antagonism or irritation often has control of your life or happiness, unless you have advanced to occupation with Christ.

You are supposed to have personal control of your life, a personal sense of destiny, self-confidence from metabolized doctrine, and therefore, poise and command of self.

Unless you attain occupation with Christ, every time you fall in love or acquire a friend, the object controls your life and your happiness.

The solution to people testing is found in the combination of personal love for God and impersonal love for all mankind.

6. System Testing.
A system is an organization composed of people under the command of other people functioning under a policy which is designed to fulfill a specific objective.

Because no one is perfect and because everyone has an old sin nature, personality, policy, and purpose conflicts will inevitably exist.

1) The authority may give unfair and unjust treatment, as from management, the boss, supervisor, senior officer, coach, professor, government bureaucrat, husband, parents, etc.

2) The policy may be unreasonable, or may conflict with normal living or with your own personal norms and standards, or it may be a stupid though still enforceable policy.

3) The objectives may be unreasonable or even impossible because of lack of ability in the personnel trying to fulfill them.

He does not do his job to please men, but he does his job as unto the Lord.

7. Thought testing.

a) Pertinent metabolized doctrine to meet thought testing at a given stage.

PSA 26:2 Examine me, O Lord, and try me; Test my mind and my heart.
JER 17:10 I, the Lord, search the heart [right lobe], I test the mind.

b) The filling of the Spirit at the time of thought testing to make the correct application of metabolized doctrine.

c) The ability not to be distracted by false issues or to be misled by wrong priorities.

Mental attitude in the Christian life is the function of your thinking and the pressure of thought conflict in your soul.

8. Prosperity Testing.
a) Individual prosperity testing, in which some form of success challenges the top priority of doctrine.

b) Collective prosperity testing, in which a city, state, nation, or group becomes very prosperous.
