Aor-act-imp – metanoeo = to rebound, to change the mind, and it has to do with the rebound technique.

He is a double sinner, because first of all he is a liar, and then he is arrogant.

There is no such thing as an individual who has not converted normal self-consciousness of the soul into some form of arrogance or fat-headedness at some time.

The old sin nature resides in the cell structure of the body.
The self-consciousness resides in the soul.

When people are arrogant, the awareness of arrogance is too subtle for them.
It is obvious to others, but never to themselves.

Constantive aorist – used for a momentary action, the action of rebound, the recovery of life inside the PPOG through confessing or naming some known sin to God.

Active voice – the carnal, reversionistic or cosmic believer produces the action of the verb.

Imperative mood = imperative of command.

To wake up –
aor-act-subj – gregoreo
+ negative me = to be alert.

Fut-act-ind – heko = to come, to come suddenly, to come as a matter of a shock, to surprise someone, etc.

People associate arrogance with the wealthy, the successful, the well poised, people with very strong personalities, and this has nothing whatever to do with arrogance.

Bad decisions bring self-induced misery plus divine discipline.

Nominative subject – Kleptes – “kleptomania” = a thief, like a thief.

Coming like a thief does not imply coming secretly as in modern times; it implies rather suddenness, surprise.

Part of divine discipline is that you are surprised by it and the suddenness of it.

It always seems to surprise the believer, and the believer often rationalizes divine discipline into testing when it is not testing at all.

“I will come to punish like a thief, suddenly, with surprise, when least expected.”

Discipline that is not anticipated or expected hurts.

Because you have not prepared yourself for it either mentally, or physically, or in any other way that you might be able to soften the blow of some personal disaster in your life.

JER 12:1 Righteous art Thou, O Lord, that I would plead my case with Thee; Indeed I would discuss matters of justice with Thee: Why has the way of the wicked prospered? Why are all those who deal in treachery at ease?

Asaph was one of the finest and chief musicians in Israel.

Even if you do not understand what you are going through remember God is good to His people.

God in His grace will allow the wicked to prosper on this earth.

MAT 5:45b He causes His sun to rise on {the} evil and {the} good,

You don’t see the discomfort and lack of content in their soul.

They do not have that peace that goes beyond understanding, PHI 4:6.

You have something in your soul that money cannot buy, a peace that you can go through a tragedy, disaster, sickness, and still say, “I have learned to be content in whatever state I am in.”

ECC 2:10 And all that my eyes desired I did not refuse them. I did not withhold my heart from any pleasure,

PSA 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”

They were standing on a smooth place (everything’s going smooth for them), but always remember – smooth places can be very slippery.

JER 23:12Therefore their way will be like slippery paths to them, They may be prospering right now, but slippery paths are going to follow. They will be driven away into the gloom and fall down in it; For I shall bring calamity upon them, The year of their punishment,” declares the Lord.

ECC 8:11 Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed quickly, therefore the hearts of the sons of men among them are given fully to do evil.

“There’s a year for their punishment” = every person who is anti-God and has negative volition has a year assigned by God for their punishment.

ECC 8:10 So then, I have seen the wicked buried, those who used to go in and out from the holy place, and they are {soon} forgotten in the city where they did thus. This too is futility.

“Beast” – behemah = the water ox or the hippopotamus; a plump colossus of flesh which is an emblem of colossal stupidity.

The LORD’s Supper-is the time- to eat the bread -and drink the cup.

We should come to the LORD’s Supper thirsty and hungry.

LUK 7:47 “For this reason I say to you, her sins, which are many, have been forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.”

The LORD’s Supper is a time to receive first, and give second.

The LORD says, “take and eat” -not “hand it over”!

We make concentration a work, instead of a delight.

We make remembering a chore, instead of a re-charger.

Like everything else in the Christian way of life, the communion table is a table of GRACE…where He gives without measure, and we receive without cost.

The LORD’s Supper is supposed to be a DEPOSIT for our soul, and not a withdrawal.

Could it be that the secret to love is receiving??

Pres-act-ind of metechoto partake of, to enjoy a share of, to share in, take part in.to be members in turn, to partake of something in common with another.

We are to EAT the bread and DRINK the cup

The LORD’s Supper is REAL FOOD and REAL DRINK.

Tonight, make your love like hers: make it extravagant, and make it risky!

You can’t just take the bread; you also have to EAT the bread.

Recognize, and remember, how the work of Christ has been manifested in your life.

“Drink from it, all of you; for this is My blood”That is the ultimate TRANSFUSION!

Drink from the cup of redemption.

Gulp down the wine of propitiation.

Toast Him with the goblet of reconciliation.

1 JOHN 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
