Laodicea is tough on a lot of people because one of the signs of the last days is the fact that the church will be filled with Laodicean believers.

While it was a wealthy city, it had one great drawback.
It lacked a good water supply.

Prosperous people like non-prosperous people are often very unhappy and unstable people.

Prosperity and money cannot change the soul – for good that is.

It is the content of doctrine that counts, not the personality of the one communicating.

No matter what the personality of the Pastor may be, inevitably, you may get into a personality conflict with the Pastor, but that is not the conflict at all.

Only positive volition toward the content of doctrine from inside the pre-designed plan of God will maintain the right priorities to avoid the cosmic trap.

Only the daily perception of Bible doctrine in the Plan of God will provide the believer capacity for prosperity.

Your capacity should always be ahead of your prosperity.

Without capacity for happiness the wealth, prosperity, success, riches, fame, promotion and approbation result in the believer searching for all forms of happiness.

You do not have to search for prosperity; you have to develop a capacity. Otherwise prosperity takes you into the cosmic system.

ROM 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

GAL 6:14 But may it never be that I should boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.

EPH 2:2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.

2TI 4:10 for Demas, having loved this present world, has deserted me

JAM 4:4 You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

This statement from a believer in the cosmic system indicates scar tissue of the soul.

The conflict is with content.

1SA 8:7 for they have not rejected you, but they have rejected Me from being king over them.

The blackout of the soul is the status of the believer in negative volition toward doctrine.

Once the believer goes negative toward doctrine, his soul automatically draws in human viewpoint and doctrines of demons.

The unbeliever is protected from demon influence by honoring the laws of divine establishment.

For a believer to reject Bible doctrine, he has rejected the fact that he is owned by the Lord, and therefore demon influence has already taken place.

Demon influence can be in the field of philosophy, theology, religion, politics, social life, etc.

The blackout of the soul has to do with a change in your thought pattern.

JOH 15:23He who hates Me hates My Father also.”

1. They do not understand what the word hate means.

2. When you are involved in the cosmic system long enough, that is exactly what happens.

“Hate” – miseo = to lightly esteem something of extreme value; to be indifferent toward someone who you should love, honor, and obey.
