The period of the Patriarchs, another era of the Theocentric dispensation of the Gentiles and the genius of God.

The divine provision of the different dispensations.

Theocentric Dispensations = the Old Testament periods of time emphasizing and glorifying God the Father’s purpose in the divine provision of dispensations as they relate to the angelic conflict.

Two Theocentric Dispensations:
1. The age of the Gentiles in the Old Testament, from Adam to the Exodus generation, 1441 B.C.
2. The age of the Jew, from 1441 B.C. to the First Advent of Christ, 4-5 B.C.

The dispensation of the Gentiles:
1. The Period of Positive Volition.
2. The Period of Negative Volition.
3. The Period of the Patriarchs.

In this period, God established the Jewish race; in the next Theocentric dispensation, the Age of Israel, He would establish the Jewish nation.

Although no written Scripture existed, God entered into a covenant, or sworn contract with Abraham, HEB 6:13-18, which we call the Abrahamic covenant.

For God to break His covenant with Abraham in any way and not to fulfill His promises to the Jews is for God to be a liar.

If you believe like covenant theology teaches, God replaced the Jews with us Gentiles, then you are contributing to Satan’s accusation against God, that His word cannot be trusted.

In a covenant, one party makes a favorable disposition toward another party. Therefore, in this covenant, made in the Theocentric dispensation of the Gentiles, God promised unconditionally to “make [Abraham] a great nation.”

Abraham believed God, and at age seventy-five he obeyed God’s instructions to leave his home and migrate “to the land which God said He would show him.”

In this particular era or period of time, the fourth divine institution, Nationalism, took on new significance as God prepared to form a particular “nation” by forming a “new race” of people.

ROM 9:6 But it is not as though the word of God has failed. For they are not all Israel who are descended from Israel;

GEN 6:5 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

God’s purpose was not only to constrain evil in the world but also to create a model form of establishment principles for the protection of human life, freedom, privacy, and property within a nation’s own borders.

Israel would exemplify the divine laws of establishment which is still the greatest system of divine operation concerning government directed toward the human race for its orderly direction and preservation.

a. Volition: The right to be dependent upon God, or to act independently of Him.
b. Marriage: Basic organization in any national entity, one man, one woman.

c. Family: the institution set up to raise and train children as far as respect for authority, for the rights of others, for the privacy of others, to respect common law, to respect the property of others, plus many other principles.
d. Nationalism: Gen 10-11.

In this dispensation, the Period of the Patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, called Patriarchs as far as the Jews were concerned, the spiritual impact of this new race, called the Jew, and new nation [Israel] would continue forever.

Abraham was born a Gentile.
He remained so until he reached spiritual maturity at ninety-nine years old.

Then with the act of circumcision he became the original Jew, the father of the Jewish race, GEN 17:1-21.

A. Israel was added as the new racial species.
B. The church is the new spiritual species.

A. Israel came from the procreation of the first Adam, from Adam all way down to Abram and Sarah.
B. The church came from the last Adam, TLJC, as He perpetuated the great power experiment of the hypostatic union into the Church-age, His Bride demanding a new spiritual species for the utilization of all divine power.

The new racial species of Israel had to be perpetuated through procreation, while in the Church-age the new spiritual species of the Royal Family of God is perpetuated through the baptism of the Spirit at the point of regeneration or salvation.

In both cases, a birth was involved, the birth of Isaac to Abraham and Sarah, being born again through regeneration and the baptism of the Spirit, to all members of the Church-age, the RFOG.

ROM 11:33-36 How great are God’s riches! How deep are His wisdom and knowledge! Who can explain His decisions? Who can understand his ways? Who knows the mind of the Lord? Who is able to give Him advice? Who has ever given Him anything, so that He had to pay it back? For all things were created by Him, and all things exist through Him and for Him. To God be the glory forever! Amen."

1CO 1:25 the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

We do not know the least thing about what may happen tomorrow,
JAM 4:14.

EPH 1:18 that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

PHI 3:1 On the one hand, to be writing the same doctrines to you is not troublesome to me, while on the other hand, it is a safeguard [or how to inculcate you soul with doctrine] for you.

1. Israel was added as the new racial species. The church was added as the new spiritual species.
2. Israel came from the procreation of the first Adam, from Adam all way down to Abram and Sarah; the Church came from the last Adam, TLJC, as He perpetuated the great power experiment of the hypostatic union into the Church age, His Bride demanding a new spiritual species for the utilization of all divine power.

3. The new spiritual species originates from regeneration and the mechanics of the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
4. The new racial species of Israel had to be perpetuated through procreation, while in the Church-age the new spiritual species of the Royal Family of God is perpetuated through the baptism of the Spirit at the point of regeneration or salvation.

5. In both cases, a birth was involved, the birth of Isaac to Abraham and Sarah, being born again through regeneration and the baptism of the Spirit, to all members of the Church-age, the RFOG.

In this period or era of the Theocentric dispensation of the Gentiles, circumcision was the ritual of confirmation and acknowledgment that the divine covenant required of Abraham and his descendants.

This ritual of circumcision signified the blessings of restored sexual vigor through which God would “multiply [Abraham’s] seed as the stars of the heavens,” GEN 22:15-18; ROM 4:17-21; HEB 11:11-12.

As a result, Abraham’s obedience demonstrated his spiritually mature confidence in God’s promises.

God confirmed His covenant to Abraham’s believing son, Isaac,
GEN 26:3-5, and reconfirmed it to his believing grandson, Jacob, GEN 28:13-15; 35:11-12.

The Jewish race, therefore, is spiritual in origin, descending from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, each of whom was a believer in the Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ, GEN 15:6.

From this period or era of the Theocentric dispensation of the Gentiles, came the twelve sons of Jacob, the founders of the tribes of Israel.

Isn’t it interesting that the twelve tribes of Israel started by God came this way, through circumcision, the cutting off the male foreskin, and through one man and four women.

Once again God alters His modus operandi, manner by which He operates, to reveal to mankind that no matter what alternative plan and policy He provides, mankind is still filled with excuses as to why he does not honor and worship God.

Israel’s eternal heritage is both spiritual and ethnic, just as God promised.

He will preserve the regenerate Jewish race and the Jewish nation throughout history and eternity, GEN 13:15;
REV 21:12.

One of the many blessings that come to the human race through the Jews is a long-term demonstration of God’s faithfulness.

The very existence of the Jews is proof for all to see that God keeps His word.

Even when the majority of the Jews themselves reject Him, even when the nation slips into degeneracy, even when He must severely discipline His people, the promise still stands.

In terms of continuity and change, God’s covenant with Israel and its literal fulfillment are woven into the fabric of history that remains intact no matter what other dispensations God establishes.

In contrast, the Church is a “new [spiritual] species,”
2CO 5:17, whereas, regenerate Jews are God’s chosen people and nation, while the Church includes believers of every race and nationality.
