Andrew and John were ready for Christ as John the Baptist had prepared them through his ministry, which was the inculcation of the person of JC, and they immediately followed.

John understood that Jesus was the Lamb from God and he knew that if any of his flock left and went with Jesus they were in better hands.

Christ’s words always get to the heart of any issues within.

HEB 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Andrew and John have not even heard Him speak yet, but they know He has the authority to teach the word of God. John the Baptist’s recommendation was all that was necessary.

Jesus is ready to accept these followers, just like He does with anyone who wants to be with Him.

1 Tim 2:3-4
This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

These men show their willingness to be with the Lord and the confidence that Jesus Christ is the One who has authority over the word of God.

What do you seek? Come, and you will see.

John, who was writing this is an eye witness, and he never forgot that day.

Christ meant that although it was going to take a long time He was going to straighten Peter and then build him up again.

Nathanael apparently has studied the scriptures and he knows that the Messiah must come from Bethlehem, that He must be related to David.

When this man believed the angelic conflict went into gear, as it always does when a person believes.

The next day John is repeating his message without apologies.

Repetition of doctrine is the only way that it will become inculcated in your soul so that it will be ready for application.
