The last prophecy of DAN 9:24 = "to anoint the most holy place."

Hebrew -    ‎mashach =  to anoint;  to set apart for God's service, or "to sanctify him," to approve one for doing the work of the Lord.

Mashach =  to put one's stamp of approval on who or what has been  anointed; to be held in special regard, it emphasizes the special relationship between God and the one who has been anointed.

This refers to a time when God will indwell all the Jewish people who became born again and saved and lived through  the Tribulation period  or were born during the Millennial reign, the thousand  reign of Jesus Christ.

Part of God's blessing of anointing the Holy Place refers to the Temple in Jerusalem which, for the first time, will  be filled with born-again Jewish people.

The difference in the OT is the fact that less than 1% of believers had the Holy Spirit living in them for just short periods of time, but in the Millennium, all the Jewish believers will be indwelt by God the Holy Spirit.

The difference between the OT and the NT principle of indwelling and also the difference between what it means to be an anointed one.

The difference  between the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the OT and the indwelling of the HS in the NT is found in two words: enablement and enduement.

Enduement is defined as the divine power of God the Holy Spirit to certain Old Testament believers.

As Church-age believers, have the enabling power of God the Holy Spirit living within us and given us the power o execute the PPOG and function in our spiritual gift under the principle of  E-P and E-O.

In every dispensation all believers are saved exactly the same way, - faith alone in Christ alone, as GEN 15:6 teaches.

GEN 15:6, Then he believed in the Lord; and He reckoned it to him as righteousness.

God the Holy Spirit did not fill the OT  believers as He does for the NT believers, where He gives us all the same privileges and opportunities to operate in the power of God.

The difference between the enablement and the enduement is that one you could lose, the other you could never lose in spite of what you did.

The real issue in DAN 9:24 =  the Anointing of the most Holy Place deals not so much with just the literal meaning but the spiritual meaning.

For just like the anointing represents the presence of God in the Holy Place, it will the indwelling of God the HS and TLJC as the

Shekinah glory lives in the temple of our bodies.

a. The Holy Spirit indwells the body of the believer at the moment of salvation to provide the divine power to offset the continued presence of the old sin nature.

b. The Holy Spirit indwells the body of the believer also as a sign of the Royal family status, which is superior to being in the family of
God, as believers in past dispensations were.

c. The primary objective of the indwelling of  Holy Spirit is to provide divine energy or power to execute the Christian way of life and also

Temple called our body for the indwelling of TLJC.

2CO 3:18-19,  But we all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. It also refers to the human body, which is now the Temple of the living God.
1CO 6:19  Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?

2CO 13:5, Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you‑‑ unless indeed you fail the test?

There is a direct relationship between the anointing and the indwelling of  TLJC as the Shekinah glory or God revealed and seen through mankind.

You and I are now a manifestation of the Shekinah glory or God revealed in mankind.

Just like God will anoint the Most Holy place or Holy Temple when the Millennial reign begins, right now He is anointing a spiritual Temple which is what you I really are and why we are called the Temple of God.

EPH 2:21, in whom the whole building, being fitted together is growing into a holy temple in the Lord;

When our Lord comes back to anoint the most holy place or His temple, in DAN 9:24, He is not doing anything new because he has been anointing "US" as the temple of God ever since the Church-age began.

The anointing refers to the indwelling of the HS. The most holy place or the Temple refers to our Body.

REV 21:22, And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple.

2CO 3:2-3, You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.

ROM 6:13, Do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.

ROM 12:1  I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.

1CO 6:13b, Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord is for the body.

There was never was a time in history when some part of the world did not "see" TLJC that's the doctrine of what is known a Theophanies.

A Theophany is a manifestation of the person and work of Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate state.
TLJC appeared as the Angel of the Lord, the primary Theophany in the OT.

He appeared to Moses in the burning bush, EXO 3:2 cf. Acts 7:30‑35.

EXO 3:2, And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.

As the Angel of God, TLJC was in the pillar of the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to lead Israel through the desert, EXO 13:21; EXO 14:19; EXO 23:20‑23, 32:34, 33:2; NUM 20:16; ISA 63:9.

EXO 13:21, And the Lord was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night.

I could show you many other passages that teach that  you and me are now a Theophanies of TLJC in the Church-age!

PSA 139:12, Even the darkness is not dark to Thee, And the night is as bright as the day. Darkness and light are alike to Thee.

1. As  Temples of God, we realize our Lord indwelling is greater than the literal Temple of God. Jesus told the Pharisees in - MAT 12:6 "But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.

2. As true Temples of God we reject making the church a profitable organization. MAT 21:12   And Jesus entered the temple and cast out all those who were buying and selling in the temple, and overturned the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who were selling doves.

3. As Temples of God, we should be individuals who help those who need healing. MAT 21:14,  And the blind and the lame came to Him in the temple, and He healed them.

4. As the Temple of our Lord, we should never be hypocritical; MAT 23:16-18.

5. As Temples of our Lord, we should be teaching those who desire to learn.

6. In MAR 11:16, the Temple of our Lord should never condone  business  transactions within the Church - MAR 11:16 and He would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple.

7. In MAR 14:49, the Temple of our Lord would teach habitually.

8.  In MAR 15:38, And the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. This is a reference to the doctrine of the HU.
9.  His birth and resurrection - LUK 2:27 And he came in the Spirit into the temple; and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to carry out for Him the custom of the Law,

10. Temple is prepared for others who try and destroy it; LUK 19:47   And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him,

11. In JOH 2:18-19, the Temple teaches on the resurrection.

12. JOH 7:28 Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying,   "You both know Me and know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know.

13. ACT 2:46 And day by day continuing with one mind in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they were taking their meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,

14. ACT 3:1 Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer.

15. ACT 17:24 "The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands;

16. 1CO 3:16   Do you not know that you are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17. As a Temple of God, we lose our own lives.

1CO 6:20, For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

18. Doesn't compromise.

19.Recognizes unity; EPH 2:19-21.

20. Becomes a winner, REV 3:12.

1CO 6:19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?
