There are some analogies between the anointing and the indwelling of TLJC as the Shekinah glory or the way God reveals Himself to mankind in Temples today.
"Shekinah" is derived from the Hebrew noun SHAKAN, meaning to dwell. It refers to the fact that Jesus Christ indwelt certain sacred buildings in Israel.
Shekinah was coined by the rabbis who developed the technical word to speak of God as dwelling among His people.
It was used to express the invisible presence of God with Israel.
Glory" is the Hebrew word KABODH, used for the visible manifestations of Jesus Christ as a Theophany.
Shekinah itself represents the invisibility of Christ, whereas Kabodh represents the visibility of Christ.
He indwelt the Tabernacle, Solomon's Temple, and Zerubbabel's Temple.
Glory represents the visible manifestation in what is known as a Theophany form.
A Theophany is a manifestation of the person and work of Jesus Christ in His pre-incarnate state.
It is a theological term for the appearances of Jesus Christ before the First Advent.
TLJC appeared as the Angel of the Lord, the primary Theophany in the OT.
He appeared to Moses in the burning bush, EXO 3:2 cf. Acts 7:30‑35.
EXO 3:2 And the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the midst of a bush; and he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, yet the bush was not consumed.
As the Angel of God, TLJC was in the pillar of the cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night to lead Israel through the desert, EXO 13:21; EXO 14:19; EXO 23:20‑23.
When you are performing divine good and producing good works, people can see those good works at and that is the part of the "glory" of God that can be seen.
Whereas the Shekinah, TLJC, is the invisible power within you that cannot be seen which is what motivated you to produce the good works.
The Shekinah = invisible - Christ in you.The good works = visible - the glory of God revealed.
First the Shekinah - GAL 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me;
MAT 5:16 "Let your light [the Shekinah in you] shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works [your glory or you glorifying God] , and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
I could show you many other passages that teach that you and me are now a Theophanies of TLJC in the Church-age!
1. Shekinah = indwelling invisibility of Christ in us.2. Glory = the manifestation of TLJC by means of bearing fruit.
Shekinah refers to the indwelling of Christ whereas glory refers to the manifestation of that indwelling by means of fulfilling EPH 2:10 we have been created in Christ Jesus for the purpose of performing good works.
Just like God will anoint the most place or the Holy Temple when the Millennial reign begins, today God anoints all His spiritual Temples who are the body of Christ, every Church-age believer.
The anointing refers to the indwelling of the HS with Christ living through us.The most holy place or the Temple refers to our Body.
1. MAT 12:6 "But I say to you, that something greater than the temple is here.
JOH 1:14, "And the Word became flesh, and tabernacled among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth"
You and I are in union with TLJC and we are the spiritual Temple or spiritual Tabernacle that is greater than the Jewish temple that is mentioned in this passage.
2. Our Lord rebuked those in the Jewish Temple who were buying and selling things in the temple which they turned into something like a Flea Market, MAT 21:12.
It refers those who are the spiritual temple of God who try to make money on the other temples of God that are within the local assembly.
It's alright to do business with other believers but not in the Church building which is to be set aside from the world and for the ultimate purpose of learning doctrine.
If you want to buy and sell things in your Temple buy PRO 23:23 Buy truth, and do not sell it, Get wisdom and instruction and understanding.
ISA 55:1 "Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; And you who have no money come, buy and eat. Come, buy wine and milk Without money and without cost.
Wine represents the Holy SpiritMilk represents basic doctrines, 1PE 2:2.
3. In MAT 21:12-14, the Temple of our Lord or His body, should never be sold; - As a Temple of God, You don't sell out or compromise your biblical standards.
Those who needed healing came to the Temple which you are today .....so it means that God desires you to live as a believer who is always ready to help those who are hurt.
MIC 3:11 Her leaders pronounce judgment for a bribe, Her priests instruct for a price, And her prophets divine for money. Yet they lean on the Lord saying, "Is not the Lord in our midst? Calamity will not come upon us."
4. As the Temple of our Lord, we should never be hypocritical; MAT 23:16-18.
They were actually saying if you make a vow by saying "I swear by the Temple" that is really not a legitimate vow. The Pharisees always made an issue out of money and here TLJC is revealing their hypocrisy of using religion as a cover for their love for money.
5. The Temple was where our Lord taught and therefore as the Temple of our Lord we should always be ready to teach those who desire to learn.
As Jesus Christ dwells within us, He desires to use you as the Temple that He speaks through today.
As a walking Temple of God you should 2CO 5:7 Walk by faith, not by sight‑‑
And as a walking Temple of God, you should walk in newness of life, ROM 6:4
As a walking Temple of God you should GAL 5:16 Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. As a walking
As a walking Temple of God you should walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.
As a walking Temple of God you should EPH 5:15 be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise,
As a walking Temple of God you should COL 1:10 walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;
As a walking Temple of God you should 1JO 1:7 Walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
This passage teaches that when our Lord was in His Temple He had no fear of those who would come and try to seize Him.
As Jesus Christ dwells within us, He desires to use you as the Temple that way, to teach others the word of God.
Analogy = no matter what you face today when TLJC dwelt within in His Temple, He had no fear of what man could do.
6. In MAR 11:16, the Temple of our Lord would never condone a business, that is in the church, MAR 11:16 and He would not permit anyone to carry goods through the temple.
7. In MAT 27:51, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom which is analogous to our Lord "opening up the veil that separated man from God."
HEB 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.
Where was the Jewish throne of grace? The throne of grace was inside the Temple in the Holy of Holies.
The analogy is that TLJC is inside the temple of your body so by means of faith you can have fellowship with Him.
By being a Temple for our Lord to indwell, the ripping of the veil means we can have a face to face fellowship with Him.
We are always to pray to the Father, in the name of the Son, being filled with the Spirit.......but that's prayer.
As long as we are filled with the Spirit we can talk to the Father, we can talk to the Son and we can even talk to the Spirit whenever we desire, but that's fellowship with them not prayer.
HEB 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and one which enters within the veil,
HEB 10:19 Since therefore, brethren, we have confidence to enter the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
HEB 10:20 by a new and living way which He inaugurated for us through the veil, that is, His flesh,
8. In LUK 19:47 As there was always opposition and obstacles in the Jewish Temple, there will always be those who try to oppose us and stop our spiritual momentum because we are now the Temple of God.
LUK 19:47 And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to destroy Him,
Under the principle of Satan being an arrogant genius and the fact that he has been around ever since the Church-age began, he knows that all believers in the Church-age is where TLJC now indwells.
In the New Testament, Satan and his kingdom of darkness always does the same thing, he is always attacking the people of God who are now the spiritual temple where TLJC indwells now .
This is why he is called in 1PE 5:8 Our adversary, 1TI 5:14, Satan is called the enemy Accuser of our brethren, REV 12:10.
9. In JOH 2:18-19, the Temple was the place where our Lord taught the doctrine of the resurrection.
JAM 2:19 You believe that God is one. You do well; the demons also believe, and shudder.
