Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
Mat 16:3 And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?
Faith in The Lord Jesus Christ is only difficult for the arrogant, prideful and worldly minded.
The natural minded man cannot discern the spiritual things and the immature Believer struggles with his or her discernment.
Heb 4:2 For indeed we have had good news preached to us, just as they also; but the word they heard did not profit them, because it was not united by faith in those who heard.
Stubborn congregation of the Exodus.
Heb 4:6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,
The Word of God is always effective & precise, it is the ears that the Word falls upon that fail…not the Word itself
The Word of God is alive and powerful….cutting through any other form of wisdom, destroying false narratives and worldly idols.
Bel’s who lack spiritual discernment often are not filled with the HS and they refuse to fully agree with the Word of God. Even when filled with the Spirit they will not take the relationship with God seriously.
The fact is we all deal with unfair treatment, character flaws, OSN, attacks from the world, failures & ailments. No one is exempt from any of this!
2Cor 1:6 But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which is effective in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer;
Mat 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me.
Luke 9:23 And He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.
Mat 10:39 “He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
Heb 4:16 Therefore let us draw (come forward) near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
“let us come” — the present middle subjunctive of proserxomai. Pros means face to face; erxomai means to come or to approach.
In other words, when you reach a certain point in your life, when you have taken in a certain amount of doctrine, even before you reach super-grace, you are going to begin to have an effective prayer & spiritual life.
Therefore, this particular present tense means that when you reach this point by the intake of doctrine, the Word of God, then you are going to be able to walk into God’s presence boldly, with confidence, and know that you are going to be heard.
Heb 5:8 Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.
The lesson most Christians don’t like to hear!
Heb 5:14 But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.
You are currently practicing and getting spiritual nutrition to apply at a later date. Increasing your discernment.
We are trained by several methods; Trained by studying Bible Doctrine, by maintaining a steady walk by means of the Holy Spirit.
We are trained by tests, from both cosmic adversaries and God who pushes us to put muscle on our faith.
We are even trained by rebounding from mistakes, turning a curse into a blessing!
We are trained by decisions of application during our day to day lives. BD learned then applied, even during the mundane times.
We are trained by adversity and also by discipline, but never trained by an easy route to success.
Success is to be enjoyed and evaluated but seldom do we have huge growth spurts within success.
Heb 12:10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness.
