Recognizing no man after the flesh. The new that has come. Part 4.

Sunday, November 22, 2009

2CO 5:17 Therefore if any one is in Christ [and they are], [he is] a new creature; the old [things] has lost their power; behold or [now hear this], the new has come [something that has never existed before].

"the new" or "the new things" that have come = all of your tremendous assets as a member of the Royal Family of God, such as predestination, escrow blessings, and the PPOG.

We have ten unique things that believers in other dispensations do not possess, and which others in future dispensations will never possess.

a. The baptism of the Spirit which results in the creation of a new spiritual species and the Royal Family of God.

1CO 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
EPH 4:4-5 There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
GAL 6:15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
COL 2:17 things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ.

God is creating something totally new, a brand new creation with a brand new life.

GAL 3:26-28, For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

b. As a member of the royal family of God, you have the PPOG which is unique for the Royal Family of God only.

PHI 3:17 Brethren [members of the royal family], be co-imitators of me, and be having respect for the same ones, who walk according to the pattern you have in us.

walk = is the present active participle of peripateo = to walk, to live, to progress,
to conduct oneself. Walk = is the present active participle of peripateo =
to walk, to live, to progress, to conduct oneself.
It is not like stoicheo = to march in ranks, to advance in ranks.

PHI 2:2 Think the same things, maintain the same virtue-love, are united in soul, and are concentrating on the same objective,

There comes a time when we have to “go it alone” and walk by ourselves with no one else except the Lord.

GAL 6:5 For each one shall bear his own load.

When we are going through different trials or tribulations,
life must go on.

Whatever your trial or tribulation is, it should be tempered with the absolute assurance of the fact that you have a personal sense of destiny inside the PPOG for your life, a divine calling.

Our Lord was the prototype,
MAR 14:50 And they all left Him and fled.

JOB 19:13-14, "He has removed my brothers far from me, And my acquaintances are completely estranged from me. My relatives have failed, And my intimate friends have forgotten me."
JOH 16:32 "Behold, an hour is coming, and has {already} come, for you to be scattered, each to his own {home,} and to leave Me alone; and {yet} I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.”

2TI 4:16 At my first defense no one supported me, but all deserted me; may it not be counted against them.

There are times when you will face sorrows and hardships, grief and burdens, but life must go on, you have to continue walking.

c. A phenomenal portfolio of invisible assets which belongs to each one of us as Royal Family of God.

Portfolio = the work of God the Father on behalf of the believer in eternity past, the securities and the invisible assets which He has provided for each member of the Royal Family of God before creation.

Before these assets are usable, they must be understood.

In your portfolio of invisible assets God provided everything necessary for the function in living, dying, eternity, growing in grace, and the execution and fulfillment of the PPOG.

If you do not have a fantastic life, it’s your own fault, never God’s.

1CO 2:9 "However, as it stands written [ISA 64:4], Things [portfolio of invisible assets] no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.’"

By knowledge of Bible doctrine, we are able to become aware of our fantastic assets and use them both in time and in eternity.

1CO 2:9b what God has prepared for those who love Him.’"

1CO 3:18-19, Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become foolish that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness before God. For it is written, "he is the one who catches the wise in their craftiness"

"wise in their craftiness" = those who live for every other reason than the one they have been created for...they think they have a better plan for their life.

They are independent from God.
And, in many cases, they are also independent from Satan. When he tempted the woman to sin and eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and give it to her husband, he was also promoting the same sin he had committed, the sin of independence.

JER 49:16 "As for the terror of you, The arrogance of your heart has deceived you"
OBA 1:3 "The arrogance of your heart has deceived you"

The sin of independence is what stops you from fulfilling the PPOG and using your portfolio of invisible assets.

When Adam and the woman sinned, they knew they had turned against their loving Creator by doubting His words and not listening to His instructions. They left the secure place of total dependence on His words and put themselves in a vulnerable, independent state. They knew they were unfit in their naked state to come into the presence of God.

We have become used to living in a state of guilt and independence from our Creator and from one another, remember that man was originally created in the image of God. Today as a part of our nakedness our consciences are dull and desensitized.

GEN 3:10 And he said, "I heard the sound of Thee in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself."
We need to be told the truth in order to realize that we are guilty and become aware of our nakedness or our helplessness before God.

ROM 14:23 whatever is not from faith is sin.
1PE 5:7 casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you.

MAT 10:30-31; "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore do not fear; you are of more value than many sparrows."
1JO 3:20 in whatever our heart condemns us; for God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

EPH 4:32 And be
kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.
GAL 5:22-23, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,
self control; against such things there is no law.

Listen, face our condition, and truly repent by
changing of worldly viewpoint, and receiving the covering He has provided for us
(divine viewpoint).

In a desperate attempt to be covered and made fit to appear before their Maker, wanting to escape the condemnation of their guilty consciences, they become Christians.

Why was it that when their Creator finally appeared, they still hid themselves from Him, even though they were now covered?

They had covered themselves in an attempt to HIDE their shame. Somewhere deep inside, they knew that they were still unfit to come into the presence of God - they were still naked and guilty. They were still afraid of freely exposing their guilt, as they both put the blame onto someone else.

Our Maker’s heart is to provide us with a true covering: a SACRIFICE.
