PHI 3:17 “Brethren, be co-imitators of me, and be having respect for the same ones, who constantly walk according to the pattern you have in us.”
The accusative masculine singular noun tupos in the singular refers to one pattern or one model or one example, or one copybook = accuracy.
1CO 14:8 “which says For if the bugle produces an indistinct sound, who will prepare himself for battle?”
LEV 22:21 “And when a man offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord to fulfill a special vow, or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it must be perfect to be accepted;”
DEU 32:4 “He is the rock, His work is “perfect“,
PSA 19:7 “The Torah or the doctrine of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul;”
ROM 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and “perfect“.
JAM 1:25 “But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man shall be blessed in what he does.”
2TI 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to god as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling “accurately” the word of truth.
In LEV 22:21, the offering must be “perfect” to be accepted;
DEU 32:4 “His work is “perfect”,
PSA 19:7 “the doctrine of the Lord is perfect,”
ROM 12:2 “the will of God is “perfect“.
JAM 1:25 “we had the perfect law” 2TI 2:15 “the pastor is instructed to handle “accurately” the word of truth.”
If your pastor is not accurate in what he teaches than you will not have the accurate information needed to live in the PPOG.
This is why you need to be having respect for the same ones, who constantly walk according to the pattern you have in us.
