The subject of Reversionism or Falling Away From The Lord.
Point 1 is a Definition and Description.
a. Reversionism is an act of reversing or turning in the opposite way, or a state of being so turned.

HEB 10:38, But My righteous one [mature believers] shall live by means of doctrine; And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.

b. Reversionism is the act of reverting to a former state, habit, belief, or practice of post-salvation sinning.
c. Reversionism is a reversal of your priorities, your attitudes,
your affections, the object of your personal love accompanied by the destruction of your impersonal love.
d. The process of reverting begins with exploding within by yielding to the temptations of the sin nature and the different lust patterns of the flesh.

Those three arrogant skills, self-justification, self-deception, and self-absorption.

He became a reversionist according to 2TI 4:10!
This means that between Paul’s first and second imprisonment something happened to him!

These two men, Luke and Demas, bring out the possibility of individuals being exposed to the same influences and yet ending up totally opposite of each other!

We are also reminded from Demas that no stage of spiritual growth is ever a guarantee against falling away into apostasy and reversionism.

Once you explode within, it is inevitable that an explosion takes place without!

e. Reversionism is the status of the believer who fails to execute the PPOG for the Church-age.

PSA 85:8 = For He will speak peace to His people, to His godly ones [mature believers]; But let them not turn back to folly.

f. Reversionism is maximum control of the old sin nature over the life of the believer.
g. Reversionism is a series of related failures in the spiritual life which results in failure to execute the PPOG terminating in Christian degeneracy.

Implosion means to burst inwardly, hence to sin within.
Explosion means to burst outwardly or to fragment.

h. Reversionism is lack of spiritual growth, failure to attain the three stages of spiritual adulthood: Spiritual Self-Esteem,
Spiritual Autonomy or Spiritual Maturity.

REV 2:26 says “And to the winner and he who keeps My deeds until the end, to him I will give authority over the nations;

i. Reversionism is the believer’s retrogression because of negative volition toward the mystery doctrine of the Church-age, which both defines and reveals God’s plan, will, and purpose for your life. j. Reversionism is recession from any stage of spiritual growth through negative volition to doctrine.
k. Reversionism is characterized by negative volition to doctrine, being influenced by evil, and results in perpetual carnality causing a life of perpetual discipline.

1CO 16:22 If anyone does not personally love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranatha.
