Point 5 in the Doctrine of the Open Door.
The door of opportunity known, as we call it, as the Christian way of life in the PPOG resulting in an historical impact.
REV 3:8, “I know your deeds [your production]. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power or faith as a mustard seed, and have kept or guarded My word, and have not denied My name.”
You may not have a lot of power, a lot of people, a lot of money or a lot of resources.
You may not have a big organization but you have kept My Word and guarded My message and have not renounced or denied My name.
Under this door of opportunity in life, the provision of the PPOG is manifested by the open doors that are placed in your path along the way of executing the Christian or spiritual way of life.
From time to time, we all need to learn from the doors our Lord went through when and how He accomplished the strategic victory of the humanity of Christ in the dispensation of the hypostatic union.
He establishes precedence for the use of divine power in the execution of the PPOG and the greatest illustration of walking through the open doors of opportunity.
As a part of walking through the open doors of opportunity, the humanity of Christ gave up the independent exercise of His own divine attributes in order to establish precedence for the function of the spiritual skills in the Church-age.
Our Lord was filled with the Holy Spirit from birth.
Isaiah prophesied about this in ISA 11:1-3.
Quoted in MAT 12:18, “Behold, My Servant whom I have chosen; My Beloved in whom My soul is well-pleased; I will put My Spirit upon Him, And He shall proclaim justice to the Gentiles.”
JOH 3:34, For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for He gives the Spirit without measure.
The humanity of Christ was filled with the Spirit in
LUK 4:1, we read that Jesus was full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led about by the Spirit in the desert.
He operated in the power of the Spirit,
LUK 4:14, And Jesus returned to Galilee in the power of the Spirit;
HEB 9:14, Christ, through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God,
Our Lord demonstrated that with the three spiritual skills, any member of the body of Christ could handle greater problems than we would ever face in life.
a. The filling of the Holy Spirit and therefore the use of divine power.
b. The cognition of Bible doctrine and therefore the use of divine power.
c. The execution of the PPOG and therefore the use of divine power.
Whenever you think that you have pressure, you must realize that they are insignificant compared to the pressures that our Lord endured.
You have the most fantastic opportunity because you have a method or pattern that was tested to the maximum and did not fall apart in any sense of the word.
Whenever, you are faced with the open doors of opportunity, always remember to identify with those who have already gone through those doors.
1PE 5:7-10, casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren who are in the world. And after you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you.
HEB 4:14-15, Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.
PHI 1:29, For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,
Our Lord recognized the open doors of opportunity because as a member of the human race, our Lord’s open door of opportunity began before the foundation of the world in REV 13:8, where He was called the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
REV 13:8, And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
ACT 2:23, they held a council in eternity past, this Man, delivered up by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.
ACT 4:27-28, tells us that our Lord’s open door of opportunity it was a plan designed by God the Father in eternity past, For truly in this city there were gathered together against Thy holy servant Jesus, whom Thou didst anoint, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel,
ACT 4:28, to do whatever Thy hand and Thy purpose
pre-destined to occur.
EPH 1:3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
EPH 1:4, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before Him.
EPH 1:5, In love He
pre-destined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the kind intention of His will,
EPH 1:6, to the praise of the glory of His grace, which He freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
Jesus Christ did not use the attributes of His divine nature to benefit Himself, to provide for Himself, to glorify Himself, to act independently of the plan of God for the
Church-age by the compromise of the spiritual life.
One compromise of the human nature of Jesus Christ to the spiritual life and there would not be any spiritual life in the
