Beelzebub deals in the realm of deceit and is the prince in charge of covert warfare against the human race.
Opportunity - accusative singular direct object - topon = an opportunity, a room, a chance, a possibility, a place, any portion or space marked off from a surrounding space.
Satan and his kingdom of darkness will look for that opportunity, that opening, that room in your soul, that place that most people keep secret.
God has provided for us a defensive position because Satan will do his best to attack and take us out of the plan of God.
ZEC 2:5 “For I, declares the Lord, will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.”
We do not have the power to deal with these attacks, so it is important that we remain in fellowship with God and inside the PPOG.
The Lord is the only one who has the power to rebuke Satan and He has put us behind a wall of fire and He is the one who takes care of that.
Man - geber = a soldier, a warrior, a valiant person.
PSA 19:12 Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults.
NKJ - PSA 19:12 Who can understand his errors? Cleanse me from secret faults.
There is a secret room in every heart where the soul stores up its skeletons, and in many cases, refuses to even admit that there is a problem.
In some cases, these things are totally different and contrary to the character of the individual and therefore are suppressed and hidden in the secret chamber of mens hearts.
These things either give an individual a low self image or produce arrogance because of self-justification.
Worst of all, they hinder and sometimes even destroy a believers confidence with their relationship with God.
1CO 4:4 For I am conscious of nothing against myself, yet I am not by this acquitted; but the one who examines me is the Lord.
Many believers have skeletons in their closet or a secret room which is very confidential, private, and undisclosed.
It is a room in the soul that we are told to make sure that the kingdom of darkness does not have a stronghold into.
ECC 7:12 For wisdom is protection just as money is protection. But the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the souls of its possessors.
ISA 5:13 Therefore My people go into exile for their lack of knowledge;
HOS 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.
Just as doctrine gives the rooms of the soul pleasure and freedom, a lack of doctrine in the rooms of the soul produces slavery and bondage.
PSA 139:23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me and know my anxious thoughts; And see if there be any hurtful way in me, And lead me in the everlasting way.
In human history, the sovereignty of God and free will of man coexist by divine decree because human history is an extension of the prehistoric angelic conflict.
Why did a holy and righteous God who is all powerful and all knowing allow the fall of Satan and his angels to occur?
1. God is perfect, therefore His plan is perfect and He allowed evil to come into being, DEU 32:4.
2. He allowed Satan and the fallen angels to rebel so that the elect angels and the human race would see the evil behind sin and rebellion.
3. He also allowed sin because he wanted the angels to have a free will or choice to serve Him from their own free will and personal love.
4. It was necessary to allow the fall of angels to show the grace of God in saving the elect angels and in the redemption of the human race.
