Joshua whose name means the Lord is salvation, originally came from Egypt.
Many times God uses the weak, the poor or the forgotten to bring home the victory.
PSA 119:16 I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget your word.
PSA 111:2 Great are the works of the Lord, They are studied by all who delight in them.

Moses took Joshua along before he would speak with God in Exodus 24:13
During times of fellowship between Moses & God, Joshua stood in the Tabernacle.
