Similarities of being a soldier and the Art of War; Part 5.

Wednesday, March 6, 2013

In our subject of the Spiritual Warfare and the Art of War we begin by dealing with The Spiritual Transformation Which Cleans Out The soul of the Onward Christian Soldier.

One of the many benefits of living the spiritual life that God has provided just for you is to rid your soul of the garbage it has stored up throughout the years.

The subconscious is that part of our soul where we are not wholly or fully conscious of all the things that are there.

There are many changes which take place when we’re living the spiritual life that God has provided without us even knowing about it.

“be transformed” which is a pres-pass-imp, the verb is meta-mo-phous- which means to transform, or to be changed. The present tense is for a habitual command which reveals that we never arrive and therefore we should always be in the process of changing for the better.

The passive voice, which is the voice of grace when God is the subject, means that we do not change ourselves but are being changed by something which God does. The imperative mood tells us that we are commanded by God to be transformed inwardly in the New Man.

“are being transformed” is the pres-pass-ind of metamorphoo which is meta-mor-pho-me-tha.

Metabolism is the process that takes organic and inorganic substances, such as proteins and water, and changes them into energy for the physical body.

It is the chemical changes in living cells by which “energy” is provided for activity and action.

This is how the New Man or the Christian Soldier is being renewed.

HEB 10:25, “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but gathering for the purpose of encouragement.”
EPH 3:18-19, 18 “That you may be able to comprehend in the presence of all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fulness of God.”

Gathering together is not enough, there must also be the filling of the Holy Spirit as per EPH 5:18.

Once we receive gnosis we are at the place where our volition must make a decision.

Rejection of truth or doctrine is a rejection of the food we need to be metabolized into spiritual energy and therefore having the New Man or the Christian Soldier renewed.
