Always give any situation of antagonism and hatred from others over to the Supreme Court of Heaven and let the Lord handle it.

You can never avoid authority and solve a problem, ever.

You never solve a problem by running from authority; you have to learn how to stay under authority.

Turn to 1PE 2:13

skoliois – warped, winding; perverse, crooked.

You never solve a problem by running from authority; you have to learn how to stay under authority.

LUK 14:18b “I have bought a piece of real estate and and I need to take care of it; please consider me excused.”

LUK 14:19 “I have a business and I am going to invest in it; please consider me excused. And another one said, Im married, and for that reason I cannot come.”

The Jews were commanded by The Lord Jesus Christ to take a census so they would know who was able to go to war, NUM 1:2-3.

NUM 1:3 “from twenty years old and upward, whoever is able to go out to war in Israel, you and Aaron shall number them by their armies.”

DEU 24:5 “When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army, nor be charged with any duty; he shall be free at home one year and shall give happiness to his wife.”

Each generation in a client nation must be trained in war, Judges 3:1-2.

Authority isn’t always fair because everyone in authority has an old sin nature.

If anyone was unfair it was Sarai.

Authority should be honored and respected, even if it is wrong.

Acts 23:1-5 “And Paul, looking intently at the Council, said, Brethren, I have lived my life with a perfectly good conscience before God up to this day. And the high priest Ananias commanded those standing beside him to strike him on the mouth. Then Paul said to him, God is going to strike you, you whitewashed wall! And do you sit to try me according to the Law, and in violation of the Law order me to be struck? But the bystanders said, Do you revile Gods high priest? And Paul said, I was not aware, brethren, that he was high priest; for it is written, You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.”

Criminals have their own system of authority.

A criminal is a criminal thinker, and a criminal mind is a person who only recognizes his own authority.

PRO 10:13, PRO 13:24, PRO 22:15, PRO 23:13, PRO 29:15

Anyone who is anti-authority is a criminal in his thinking, because law is basically authority.

Qal imperative shuwb a command go back.

If Hagar is ever going to have a solution to the problem, she must return to the area of the problem.

Submit – Hithpael imperative – anah – reflexive stem = she personally, from her own volition, must return.

Harshly – Piel imperfect – anah = to oppress, browbeat, depress, afflict, mishandle, humiliate, torture.
