In Spite of man’s efforts for peace, warfare will continue until the Millennium.

a. Internally by the objectivity of law and by good law enforcement.

b. Externally by the military establishment, NEH 4:14-15.

We have seen that in spite of mans efforts for peace, warfare will continue until the Millennium,
MAT 24:6; MAR 13:7;
LUK 21:9.

MAT 24:6, “And you will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened, for {those things} must take place, but {that} is not yet the end.”

ECC 3:8, “There is a time for war,”

NUM 21:14, “Therefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord,”

War is necessary for the maintenance of national sovereignty and freedom.

In both the struggle for and the perpetuation of Jewish freedom after the Exodus, Jesus Christ Himself became the commanding general of the armies of Israel, JOS 5:13-6:2.

His title was
“The Lord of the Armies,”
TSEBAOTH.

The Bible teaches that armies defend freedom and armies destroy freedom, JER 34:7; JER 12:12.

The issue of national sovereignty, integrity, and freedom always depends on which army wins, JER 40:1.

F. God uses the military in action to demonstrate the degeneracy of a nation.

War is used by God to kill off the leaches of society.

1. The spiritual factor of Bible doctrine in the soul, prayer, and the grace of God, NEH 4:8-9.

2. The second factor that protects a nation is military preparedness, NEH 4:8-9, 13-15.

Failure of society,
Lack of training,
No respect for authority,
Lack of courage,
No self-discipline,
And the trading of security for freedom.

The Lord fought for Israel at the Red sea,
EXO 14:14 “the Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.”

The concept of Christ as a warrior will continue until the Armageddon campaign, ZEC 14:3-4.

ZEC 14:3, “then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle.”

The Lord Jesus Christ also delivered Israel, and killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in 701 B.C.
ISA 37:36.

ISA 37:36, Then the angel of the Lord went out, and struck 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians; and when men arose early in the morning, behold, all of these were dead.

At Armageddon, in REV 19:11-15, He will break his own record, according to REV 14:19-20; ISA 63:1-3, and kill millions.

REV 19:11, “And I saw heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and He who sat upon it {is} called faithful and true; and in righteousness He makes war.”

At this time there will be maximum slaughter by TLJC,
Joel 2:20; EZE 39:11-13 describes the stench.

This is why the Bible teaches the biblical principle of universal military training,
NUM 1:2-3.

The book of numbers deals with the mobilization and war plans of Israel.

It teaches that each generation must be trained in war,
Judges 3:1-2.

2SA 22:35, “He trains my hands for battle, So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”

Draft dodgers, slackers, and deserters are sinful before the Lord,
NUM 32:6-23.

Just warfare is always from the Lord,
1CH 5:19-22.

1CH 5:22, for many fell slain, because the war {was} of God.

PSA 46:7-9, “He makes wars to cease” through military victory.
