The Doctrine of the Supreme Court of heaven and the protocol that the Jews were to follow.

Point 1.  Introduction. The supreme court of heaven is composed of the three persons of the Godhead–God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

  1. Divine integrity or holiness, which is composed of God’s justice and righteousness.

The Bible teaches that God is righteous or right in all that He allows and does; Deu 32:1-4.

Even in afflicting us, the Lord is said to be just and righteous.

They seem to be unfair, but…in the end you will find out that God was righteous and just in dealing with the situation the way that He did!

2Sa 22:31 “As for God His ways are blameless.”

We can rely fully on the knowledge that whatever God does in our lives is consistent with His righteous attitudes and actions.

God’s holiness also includes His justice as well as His righteousness.

As a part of God’s justice, God is always fair. It is impossible for God to be unfair.

2Ch 19:7  “Now then let the respect for the Lord be upon you; be very careful what you do, for the Lord our God will have no part in unrighteousness, or partiality, or the taking of a bribe.”

Rom 2:11 “for there is no partiality or respect of persons with God”!

Two ways God expresses His justice to believers:
1.  To the mature believers, God expresses His justice in blessing.
2. To carnal or apostate believers God expresses His justice through divine   discipline; Heb 12:6.

God’s justice always administers what righteousness demands. Justice means that in vindicating any believer, God cannot compromise His attributes.

  1. Omniscience, which means that all of the three judges have known all of the facts of every case from eternity past.

Job 37:16, “He is One who is perfect in knowledge”

God’s knowledge is not based upon time. It is not related to or limited by time.

We can even speculate about the future and even make some pretty accurate guesses….but none of us know exactly what will happen tomorrow. We are slaves to time! We are limited by time.

We continue to learn as long as we live on this earth whereas, God has never had to learn a thing.

When you give something over to the supreme court of heaven, you must realize that God has all the facts.

Notice verse 8 again, it says remember this and be assured, recall it to mind you transgressors.

Assured is the Hebrew word ashash which means to have assurance and confidence.

Omniscience means that there is nothing in your life that could ever happen that God didn’t know about billions and billions of years ago.

Knowing about it and being perfect, He provided a perfect provision and perfect solution for every problem we would ever face.

Because He is omniscient, He knows what is best for those who trust in Him (us)!

We may not understand the adversities and the sufferings which come into our lives; yet in the end we will discover that God knew all along exactly what we needed and what was best for us.

Joh 13:7, “what I do you do not realize now, but you shall understand hereafter.”

Rom 11:33 “Oh,the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable are His ways”.

It is also God’s intention that every believer come to understand that there are certain doctrinal situations in the Bible that God wants us to learn “in this life” or “in time.”

Deu 29:29  “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and our children forever.”

Certainly you will not understand the doctrinal content of the Bible all at once, for knowledge is built on knowledge; but, if you stay with it long enough it can be done.

Every book in the Bible was written by a human author who understood what he was recording; 2Pe 1:18-20.

Rom 8:28  “and we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

Principle: For the mature believer, in areas of his life where others are disturbed and freaking out, in those same areas he has a R.M.A.

By mature, I mean a believer who is at the stage of spiritual growth he should be at.

Knowing the character of God and His omniscience is the daily understanding that no matter what a day may bring, whether adversity or prosperity, there’s a divine purpose for it.

Knowing everything He has provided, from His omnipotence, a divine solution for every problem.

That divine solution can only be discovered when the believer is living in the pre-designed plan of God.

This plan was designed specifically from His omniscience which knew every solution for every problem that you would ever need.

  1. Omniscience tells us that we were known by God in eternity past.
  2. Foreknowledge tells us that we were in the mind of God in eternity past.
  3. Predestination tells us that we were in the plan of God in eternity past.
  4. Divine integrity or holiness, which is composed of God’s justice and righteousness.
  5. Omniscience, which means that all of the three judges have known all of the facts of every case from eternity past.
  6. The third attribute needed to understand is sovereignty, which means that the decisions rendered by the court come from perfect, eternal, incorruptible, divine volition.

Sovereignty means that God is supreme in rule and has authority over all things and there is no higher authority in the universe than God;     Deu 4:39.

Deu 4:39  know therefore today, and take it to your heart, that the Lord, He is God in heaven above and on the earth below; there is no other.

  1. Omnipotence, which means that all three members of the court have the power to execute all sentences, all judgments of the court.

The only thing that hinders a judgment from being carried out is that a believer gets in the way through reaction, seeking revenge, arrogance sins, emotional sins, lust to hurt others.

These principles are just the beginning of God’s laws for both the natural and the spiritual realm.

Omnipotence means all powerful and limitless in ability. This is why He is called “God Almighty” as in GEN 17:1.

GEN 17:1  Now when Abram was ninety‑nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.

GEN 18:14  “Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Isa 40:26  lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power not one of them is missing.

Jer 27:5 “I have made the earth, the men and the beasts which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight.”

God’s power is NOT manifested by muscle, His power is in His word and whatever He says happens.
Heb 1:3  “He upholds all things by the word of His power.”

This power is also used by God to keep the believer safe for Him forever as in 1Pe 1:5, “You are protected by the power of God.”

You must understand that all that happens is not from the power of God.

God has allowed both angels and mankind to possess volition, and both angels and mankind have used that volition in a negative way.

When we understand the omnipotence of God, we will be assured that “nothing is to hard for Him” as Jer 32:7 states.
Or as TLJC in Mat 19:26, “with God all things are possible.”

Job said after he went through more suffering than anyone alive “I know that You can do all things” in Job 42:1.

The pertinent attributes of divine essence related to the function of the supreme court of heaven include:
A.  Divine integrity or holiness, which is composed of God’s justice and righteousness.

  1. Omniscience, which means that all of the three judges have known all of the facts of every case from eternity past.
  2. The third attribute needed to understand is sovereignty, which means that the decisions rendered by the court come from perfect, eternal, incorruptible, divine volition.
  3. The fourth pertinent attribute of divine essence related to the function of the supreme court of heaven is omnipotence, which means that all three members of the court have the power to execute all sentences, all judgments of the court.

It is impossible for God to be unfair in the function of His divine justice.

Divine justice administers a system of divine laws which are compatible with His perfect integrity.

The justice of God administers perfect divine laws and perfect divine decisions by making the penalty fit the crime in every case.

The justice of God pronounces decisions and penalties which are compatible with His perfect essence.

All three judges are God. All three possess divine absolute good, this is taught in Psa 25:8 good and upright is the Lord; therefore He instructs sinners in the way.

Psa 119:68  Thou art good and doest good; teach me Thy statutes.

Approaching the supreme court of heaven for redress of grievances, or as a plaintiff, or as a victim of injustice, or as an injured party of  vilification, misrepresentation, character assassination, child abuse, or victim of the public lie……demands the faith-rest drill.

As soon as you take matters in your own hand, either by going to court over church matters by entering into some system of emotional sinning (like guilt, rage), you take the matter out of God’s hands, and the supreme court of heaven can no longer act on your behalf.

Strong faith-rest is needed and strong faith-rest comes from maximum metabolized doctrine circulating in the soul through cognition and inculcation of Bible doctrine regarding the essence of God.

Like a muscle, If  you develop your faith, you will use the whole realm of doctrine, and have the peace of God which passes all understanding.

Point 2. The Supreme Court of heaven is open Twenty-four hours a day.
