1. It is a time for self-examination.
2. It is a celebration of the Lord’s person and work.
3. It is a time of intimate fellowship with the Lord and each other.
He is the exact image of the invisible God, radiant and full of His glory.
He is the exact representation of God’s nature and all of the fullness of Deity dwells in Him.
All things everywhere have been created by Him and for Him.
And in Him, all things hold together by the Word of His power.
He is the highest Authority. He is over all creation.
He is the Heir of all things.
He has redeemed us from the kingdom of darkness and has transferred us into His beloved Kingdom.
He is the great Mediator reconciling all things to God the Father, making peace with Him through the blood of His cross.
Our old sin nature was crucified with Him, that we should no longer be slaves to it.
He has disarmed the rulers and authorities who were arrayed against Him and made a public display of them. He has gone ahead of us to prepare the way and He has promised to return for us so that we might be where He is throughout eternity.
The first – the branch must abide in the vine to be successful.
The second – a branch apart from the vine can do nothing.
All Christians, though in different places and in various stages of growth meet in Christ, the center of their unity.
Abide means to continue in a state and to stand firm.
It means to keep in fellowship with Christ so that His life can work in and through us.
A life united to the Son of God is the most excellent life a man can live in this world.
