Theocentric dispensations: The beginning of violence and murder in human history and the cause of it.

Friday, June 27, 2008

The first Theocentric dispensation we call the dispensation of the Gentiles because the Jewish race had not yet begun.

1. The Period of Positive Volition.
2. The Period of Negative Volition.
3. The Period of the Patriarchs.

6. The divine division and provision of the different dispensations.

The period of negative volition is the era or the dispensation of the first murder in history,
GEN 4:1-15.

This begins a new paragraph in the epistle of John dealing with the test of people distraction.

JOH 13:34 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
JOH 15:12 “This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you.”
JOH 15:17 “This I command you, that you love one another.”

There is a very close relationship between the violence of murder and the violence in the soul of reaction in hatred, bitterness, jealousy, vindictiveness, etc.

JOH 8:44 You are of {your} father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning,

The greatest inner check to crime, evil, violence, is impersonal love.

People who have no capacity for personal or impersonal love are always motivated to put other people down; they have no thoughtfulness, no sensitivity toward others.

1JO 3:11-12 For this is the message (the announcement) which you have heard from the first, that we should love one another, And not be like Cain who took his nature and got his motivation from the evil one and slew his brother.

Sphazo - e!sfaxen = to butcher, especially an animal for food or in sacrifice, or generally to slaughter violently.

It comes to mean to cut the throat of an innocent victim, and that is exactly how Cain committed the first murder; he cut the throat of an innocent victim.

He believed that there was a God because in GEN 4:6, the Lord spoke to him and in GEN 4:10, the Lord claimed that He was God, and in GEN 4:14, Cain knew He was God.

JAM 2:19 You believe that God is one; you do well. So do the demons believe,
JOH 3:18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged. - Amplified Bible

ACT 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ [give yourself up to Him, take yourself out of your own keeping and entrust yourself into His keeping] and you will be saved,

Poneros (evil) is sin parlayed into evil; it also means also means that which is worthless or degenerate.

Abel offered blood sacrifices because of his understanding of grace, because of his +V toward doctrine, because of his response to whatever doctrine was in existence at that time.

“Not as Cain, who was motivated from that evil one [Satan, the inventor of the cosmic system], and consequently he murdered his brother [with a sacrificial knife].”

“And why did he murder his brother [with a sacrificial knife]? Because his deeds were evil, but those of his brother were honourable and righteous.”

Here is Abel, the recipient of jealousy, bitterness, implacability, hatred, all of these things combined, but it did not hinder his testimony or his spiritual growth.

Life often demands a very strong concentration from you.

You do not let negative, critical, judgmental, pessimistic individuals drag you down to their level.

Stay focused on the objective. Don’t get side-tracked.

Cain rejected Bible doctrine, but this did not distract Abel from positive volition toward doctrine.

Don’t let the negative volition of a member of your family cause you to have negative volition.

1CO 16:22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed. Maranatha.

Cain murdered Abel, but the death of Abel did not hinder the advance of doctrine or the importance of doctrine resident in the soul.

2CO 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.

The real tragedy was not the death of Abel, but Cain as a murderer going through life in misery and then as an unbeliever burning forever and ever in the lake of fire.

Nothing can stop Bible doctrine, and that includes the lies, the jealousy, the hatred, the hypocrisy of those who try.

EXO 1:12 - the more you try to afflict God’s people and His word, the more they multiply and spread out.

PSA 14:1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
PRO 1:7 Fools despise doctrine and instruction.
PRO 10:21 fools die for lack of understanding.
DEU 28:34 “And you shall be driven mad by the sight of what you see.”
