Nehemiah = using the Gates and the Walls of Jerusalem as a type of the predesigned plan of God for the Jews in the ancient world.
Although the “means” differ – the way to salvation has always been the same……“Faith ALONE, in Christ ALONE.”
ACT 4:12 “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved.”
JOH 14:6 “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.”
JOH 10:7 Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
It points to the reality of the CA believer going through the death, burial and resurrection of TLJC at the moment of Salvation – Baptism of the Holy Spirit.
1Co15:21 For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead.
1Co15:22 For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all shall be made alive.
At the moment of salvation, through the baptism of the HS, He reveals to us the principle of death to the OSN and how to discover life to the new nature.
GAL 2:20 “I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered Himself up for me.”
Too often we place the emphasis in our own lives upon trying to become more pleasing to God.
ROM 8:8 and those who are in the flesh [life in the OSN] cannot please God.
ZEC 2:5 ‘For I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire around her, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ “
2PE 3:18 but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
EPH 2:6 he is seated with Christ in heavenly places,
He now has the power to walk in a manner worthy of the calling
EPH 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, entreat you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which you have been called,
He or she is now ready to have the correct attitude toward the Enemy “ which is to STAND” (EPH 6:11).
To be useful in God’s plan a believer must be properly adjusted in respect of all three: his position, his life, and his warfare.
