True Desire of Every Believer is being Transformed.
This past week we began to note some of the reasons for the “Shekinah Glory” or the indwelling of Christ within the believer.
I hope that the detailed presentation I gave you will serve as a motivator for those who have been receiving the doctrinal information we have been noting.
This is very important as it relates to our new subject that is about to come up especially as it relates to our escrow blessings.
Point 1. There are four parts to the definition of our escrow blessings.
- First of all, what do I mean by the word escrow?
An escrow is a written agreement entered into by three parties, the obligor, the obligee, and the depositary, for the transfer of certain benefits.
What a blessing it is that we have three members or three manifestations of the “Shekinah Glory” all working together in our escrow account with three members of the god-head, the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit all working together with each other.
We have the obligor = God the Father
The oblige = the Lord Jesus Christ
The Holy Spirit.
This is all based upon a sealed agreement of the obligor, generally accompanied by some future happening on the performance of some act by the obligee.
That future performance means that as the believer obey’s certain commands and certain principles he is able to glorify the Lord and manifest the “Shekinah Glory” within the believer.
This is why motivation is so vital both the mental and the emotional incentive of love giving all believers the privilege of serving God with rewards and the “Shikinah Glory” coming through and revealing Christ to a lost and dying world.
Mental attitude is vital but mental attitude is not emotional.
And the reason why I say both mental and-or emotional incentive can keep you going is because you can do things that you don’t feel like doing but you do it because your mental attitude says to do it and that is proper motivation.
You do not have to feel like doing something in order for it to be genuine or the production of divine good.
And when it comes to you laying down your life, your escrow blessings are to meet God’s requirements.
This can only be done by operating in your escrow blessings with your proper motivation.
Now, you will recall that last time, when we we began to note some of the reasons for the “Shekinah Glory” or the indwelling of Christ within the believer.
That we noted some of those reasons or those signs that our Lord indwells all believers which is the fact that He is there as a sign that you are Royal Family.
And He is a guarantee of fantastic blessings which are deposited in your escrow account that have been reserved for you from eternity past.
Since the Lord Jesus Christ is the One who possesses all of our blessings in our escrow account and the one who distributes these blessings when we’re able to receive them,…and therefore the indwelling of Christ is a guarantee that we have escrow blessings awaiting us.
And so He does indwells us as protection and a guarantee of eternal security that He has provided for us as the “Shikinah Glory” protect us and our escrow blessings.
He is the guarantee that you have escrow blessings and the ability to receive from tever you desire to do so from your escrow account.
As an introduction to 2Co 3 and the real purpose of the verb metamorphooo we are now ready for 2CO 3:12 Having therefore such a hope, we use great boldness in our speech,
2Co 3:13 “And not as Moses, who kept on putting a veil over his face to prevent the sons of Israel from looking intently at his face while the radiance was fading away,
This is the account in Exo 34:29-35, where Moses put on a veil after speaking God’s word to the people so that Israel could not see the fading glory of the Mosaic Law.
His face shone and was radiant because he was face to face with TLJC and he learned about the Mosaic Law but he also understood that Israel must hear the message and not associate the message with the fact that the Mosaic Law was a system of fading glory.
So back in Corinth in 2Co 3:14 but their thinking was hardened; for until this very day at the reading of the old covenant the same veil remains unlifted, because it is only removed by Christ.
2Co 3:15 But to this day whenever Moses is read, a veil covers their heart;
2Co 3:16 but whenever it [is the corrected translation which is a reference to the Jewish heart] has turned face-to-face with the Lord, the veil is removed.
Now, how does all this happen?
Well, Paul tells us how in verse 17.
2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit [deity of the Holy Spirit]; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty or freedom [spiritual freedom].
2Co 3:18 But we all, with an unveiled face looking into a mirror [which is to produce a reflection]–of the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory [the model spiritual life of our Lord] to the glory [the operational spiritual life of the Church-age believer], just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
The point is that through the ministry of God the Holy Spirit, you and I have a spiritual life that has an unfading glory.
And the analogy is that like Moses, when we are filled with the Spirit and learning doctrine, we are face-to-face with the Lord with an unveiled face because of the power of the Holy Spirit.
This unveiled face belongs to the positive believer who is consistent in the function of the spiritual mechanics.
You have the opportunity of having the unveiled soul with all of its glory, becoming of member of the pivot of mature believers in the client nation and becoming a winner believer.
JOH 1:14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The second glory refers to being transformed into the same image as the humanity of Christ through seeing ourselves in the Word of God through the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.
ROM 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son,
The main verb is “being transformed”.
And who’s doing the transforming?
God the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, let’s begin with a few principles from the original language to see what the apostle saying concerning the ministry of God the Holy Spirit.
Now, back to our escrow blessings.
- An escrow is a written agreement entered into by three parties, the obligor, the obligee, and the depositary, for the transfer of certain benefits.
- The sealed agreement of the obligor, generally accompanied by the deed, bond, or chattel to be conveyed, is made contingent on some future happening or on the performance of some act by the obligee.
It is delivered to the depositary and held by him pending the occurrence of that event or the performance of the required act by the obligee.
This means that the one who is promised is responsible to fulfill the conditions that are attached by making all things that he promised to be fulfilled by the one who made the promise to others.
And this brings out the character and the integrity of the one who made the promises to others.
For example, What are some of the promises of God?
1Ki 8:56 Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that He promised; not one word has failed of all his good promise.
