Truth will cause you to be stable, secure, and certain about the future.

Whatever is:
- True; doctrinal.
- Honorable; establishment and freedom.
- Right; righteous, just and fair.
- Pure.
- Lovely; capacity to love.
- Of good repute; commendable.
If anything of virtue, if anything worthy of praise exists (and it does), you, yourselves be concentrating on these things.
“True”- predicate nominative neuter singular - a*lhqh - alethe = truth or Bible doctrine; the doctrines, principles, and policies of God as preserved in the word of God and transferred into your soul by daily P.M.A. of B.D.
JOH 18:38 “What is truth?”
Truth or doctrine is that which will cause you to be stable, secure and certain about the future more than ever before.
It will cause you to be certain, confident, positive and assured without being arrogant - a vital part of truth is humility.
PSA 25:8-9 Good and upright is the Lord; Therefore He instructs sinners in the way. He leads the humble in justice, And He teaches the humble His way.
Gesenius - Truth will produce firmness, security and integrity of mind.
LUK 6:40 A pupil is not above his teacher; but everyone, after he has been fully trained, will be like his teacher.
ACT 17:11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily, {to see} whether these things were so.
Truth is what stands the test of experience.
Aletheia = integrity of character; that which is faithful and certain.
Joseph Thayer - Aletheia is that which frees the mind from pretence, deceit, and falsehood.
It is impossible to serve the Lord apart from truth being the motivation.
JOS 24:14 Now, therefore, respect the Lord and serve Him in sincerity and truth;
1SA 12:24 Respect the Lord and serve him in truth with all your heart;
Truth or doctrine will enlighten the believer and guide the believer in the angelic conflict and spiritual warfare.
Truth protects us and keeps us from deception.
God the Holy Spirit uses the doctrine we have been taught to protect us from deception, JOH 14:26.
JOH 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.
Lying makes a problem part of the future; truth makes a problem part of the past.
PHI 3:13b but one thing I concentrate upon: constantly forgetting the things that lie behind and pursuing vigorously to what lies ahead,
PHI 3:14 I keep on pressing on toward the objective for the purpose of the reward belonging to the upward call of God [Father], by means of Christ Jesus.
In the last days truth will be rejected and therefore deception will set in, 2TI 4:3-4.
2TI 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires;
2TI 4:4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will be turned aside to fables.
What is it that God truly desires from you? He desires truth to be in you.
2PE 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Grace is for our present need, mercy is for our past.
Mercy is God’s grace in action directed toward our past.
The righteousness and justice of God is completely satisfied when He sees his “truth or doctrine” in operation in man.
It is truth which cleanses us and purges us from sin, JOH 15:3.
You cannot change the truth, but the truth can change you.
EPH 5:26 That He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.
PRO 16:6 By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, and by the respect for the Lord one keeps away from evil.
2TI 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth.
3JO 1:4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth [doctrine].
GAL 4:16 Have I therefore become your enemy by telling you the truth?
2CO 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but only for the truth.
One of the titles for truth is called logos or the Word.
1JO 1:1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the [logos] Word of Life -
REV 19:13 And He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood; and His name is called The [logos] Word of God.
PHI 4:8 From now on, members of the Royal family of God, whatever is true,... if anything of virtue, if anything worthy of praise exists (and it does), you, yourselves be concentrating on these things.
