The will of God that most believers resist. Knowing no man after the flesh. Part 6.

3. Knowing no man after the flesh.

according to the flesh
a reference to knowing or recognizing no one on the basis of our flesh or our own system of human viewpoint, it does not mean recognizing or knowing no man after their flesh.

An ambassador is a high ranking minister of state or of royalty sent to another state to represent his sovereign or his country.

We are spiritual aristocracy as members of the Royal Family of God, and Christ is the king who has sent us into a foreign country, the cosmic world.

Ambassadorship stems from being in union with Christ, caused by the Baptism of the Spirit.

In addition to the mandates of scripture, there are many avenues of expressing your ambassadorship, such as utilizing the faith-rest drill and virtue-love as a problem solving device with emphasis on spiritual self-esteem.

Your confidence in yourself, and by that I mean your spiritual self-esteem, becomes the maximum expression of your ambassadorship.

1. An ambassador does not appoint himself.

2. The ambassador does not support himself. The Church-age believer, as an ambassador for Christ, is provided for under the principle of logistical grace.

1CO 9:9, “You shall not muzzle the ox while he is threshing.”

2. The ambassador does not support himself. The Church Age believer, as an ambassador for Christ, is provided for under the principle of logistical grace.
3. The ambassador’s instructions are always in written form, so he has no doubt as to what he should do.
4. The ambassador does not belong to the country to which he is sent.
5. The ambassador does not live in the foreign country for his own personal interest.

We subordinate all personal interest to the function of our ambassadorship, which includes the attainment and function of the spiritual skills, filling of the Spirit, cognition of Bible doctrine, and execution of the PPOG.

6. The ambassador does not treat any insult to himself as personal.

When you are insulted, treated unfairly, or ridiculed, you have tremendous problem solving devices.

7. When an ambassador is recalled, his recall is tantamount to a declaration of war.

Analogous to the rapture of the church.
while the Tribulation period is analogous to the period of war.

2CO 5:16, from now on we recognize no man according to the flesh or according to the old lifestyle of the OSN, or on the basis of our flesh not their flesh.

Not recognizing or knowing others according to the human viewpoint of our own soul or the thought pattern of our old sin nature is that which is in view here.

Proud, arrogant, insecure, feeling threatened, couldn’t stand people because we were secretly jealous of them because of our own insecurity.

We are new creatures, and we have a new system of thinking, and that TLJC died for all, we are now qualified to love as His ambassadors.

With this new mental attitude of recognizing or knowing no one after the flesh, we have an entirely different attitude toward people and God’s will for our life and their life.

1TI 2:4, He desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Recognizing or knowing no man after the flesh means that people no longer disturb us or upset us because we are not thinking with our flesh.

We are not thinking any longer with the deceitfulness of a judgmental critical presumptuous viewpoint.

In 2CO 5:17, the apostle Paul it tells us that the moment we personally believed in TLJC there was a tremendous amount of work accomplished by God the Holy Spirit and the grace of God.

EPH 4:22, Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion;

EPH 4:23, And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude],

A fresh mental and spiritual attitude,
that is exactly what happens when you recognize or know no one after the flesh, including yourself.

EPH 4:24, And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [God-like] in true righteousness and holiness.

When you don’t recognize or know yourself after your own flesh you believe that you are a member of the Royal Family of God.

If you are going to think with divine viewpoint rather than human viewpoint and recognize or know no one after the flesh than you will have the attitude of the mind of Christ toward yourself an toward others.

Your attitude toward yourself?

1CO 15:10, By the grace of God I am what I am,

The results of not recognizing or knowing yourself according to the flesh is manifested by an entirely new and different attitude toward yourself.

This will produce an entirely new and different attitude toward God, the plan, purpose and policy of God as well as an entirely new and different attitude toward others.

As this understanding and perception develops, we learn to live in our brand new nature, no longer looking at the members of the human race, including ourselves, the way we use to.

hee (the) agapee (love) tou (of) Christou (Christ)
“the love of Christ”

“of Christ” genitive case of Christos = the love that belongs to Christ.

GAL 1:4 He gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age,

EPH 5:2, and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you, and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.

TIT 2:14, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.

He gave Himself not just for us but in 1TI 2:6 He gave Himself as a ransom for all,

The love belonging to Christ was the manifestation of grace in His soul based upon Bible doctrine.

GAL 3:13, Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us--

HEB 9:24, Christ entered into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;

1JO 3:16, We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us;

The love of Christ gives us the proper mental attitude that goes with ambassadorship and witnessing.

In the mentality of the soul there must be the same grace that you have toward yourself, toward others.

No grace toward yourself means no grace toward others.

No love toward yourself means no love toward others.

No forgiveness toward yourself means no forgiveness toward others.

PRO 23:7 “For as he thinks within himself, so he is.”

Verse 17 reveals the confidence we should all have from understanding, believing and applying positional truth and how to orient our lives to the grace of God.

ROM 6:4, Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

You are in Christ a new creature;

There must be no contradiction between who you are and what you are doing.
