One of the most powerful expressions of God's nature within man is the omnipotence or power of the Lord operating in compassion which motivates forgiveness.
Notice that it wasn't until the Lord operated in tough love that got their attention; Rev 2:4.
They had to learn to rely on His omniscience, omnipotence, and the omnipresence of the Lord all revealed by His faithfulness to them in spite of their faithlessness towards Him.
- Faithfulness is the consistency and stability of God.
- Faithfulness is the perfection of God's essence and the fact that He cannot be inconsistent or compromise His essence.
- Faithfulness is the fact that God cannot change His essence and be unfair to anyone.
- God is consistent with Himself; therefore, He is faithful and consistent with us.
There never was a time when God was unfaithful as Hos 14:4 says, "I will heal their apostasy, I will love them freely, for My anger has turned away from them.
Unfaithfulness is totally incompatible with the very nature and essence of God, Mal 3:6 "For I, the Lord, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed."
The very existence, function, and provision of blessing for the Royal Family of God, both now and forever, depends on the faithfulness and character of God.
God is never caught off guard.
How refreshing it is to know that in spite of all this there is one who is faithful.
He is called the faithful God as Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God.
His grace never ceases in Lam 3:22 The Lord's lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His compassions "never" fail.
It is one thing to accept all these divine attributes as truth but it is another thing to act upon it.
God is not only faithful to tell us the best things about us but He is also faithful to tell us the worse things about us or what's wrong with us or even the worst problem we face.
In His faithfulness, He has faithfully described the ruin that NVTD leads to.
He has faithfully diagnosed the terrible results and effects of sin and sin nature control.
God is faithful in keeping His promises. 2Co 1:20 "for as many as be the promises of God, in Him they are yes."
Num 23:19 God is not like man that he should lie, has He not said and He will do it, or has he spoken, and will He not make it good?
Think of all the rebellion that the children of Israel, the Jews, fell into and yet God was faithful.
Titus 1:2 It is impossible for Him to lie!
Heb 10:23 He who promised is faithful.
It is the permanence of God's character that guarantees the fulfillment of all His promises.
- Just
2. Righteous
3. Love
4. Immutability
5. Eternity - Omniscience
7. Omnipotence
8. Omnipresent
9. Veracity
10. Sovereignty - God is just and as the Supreme Court Judge always makes decisions based upon His Justice or Him being just.
- God is Righteous and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon His righteousness or Him being right.
- God is Love and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon His Love because His righteousness and justice have been satisfied.
- God is immutable, He does not change and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon His faithfulness always being there.
- God is Eternal and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon His eternal purpose and destiny.
- God has omniscience and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon His knowledge of what is best for us.
- God is omnipotence and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon His power and ability to accomplish all that He wills and desires.
- God is omnipresent and as the Supreme Court Judge He is always abiding in you and is with you.
- God is also truth or veracity and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon truth and no lies.
- God is also Sovereign and as the Supreme Court Judge He always makes decisions based upon "what He wills" or "His perfect will.
His omniscience knows everything about you.
His omnipotence has the power to do all things.
His omnipresence is always within you.
In 1Pe 4:19 to those who are going through some measure of suffering the apostle Peter says to entrust your soul to the "faithful Creator" who will always do what is right!
He is faithful in what He withholds just like He is faithful in what He gives.
He is faithful in sending sorrow as well as in giving joy.
The faithfulness of God is a truth to be acknowledged by us, not only when we are at ease but when we are in trouble.
Psa 89:33 Even if they sin and rebel i will not deal falsely in my faithfulness.
The reviving of the Jews after two days refers to the prophecy being stated where a day to the Lord is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day, 2Pe 3:8.
God the Father is faithful in Jam 1:17 Every good thing bestowed and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation, or shifting shadow.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever - Heb 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes and forever.
God the Holy Spirit is faithful to indwell us and teach us; Joh 14:26-28.
The cap stone = JOH 14:20 "In that day you shall know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.
To be worried and concerned is to reject these divine attributes and become a loser believer.
He who has heard your prayers in the past will not refuse to supply your need in the present.
God is greatly honored when under testing for blessing or chastening, we have proper thoughts toward Him and recognize His divine attributes in action.
The sooner we trust him in all of our affairs being fully persuaded and convinced of his love toward us...... The sooner we will find true meaning, satisfaction, and contentment in life.
Feared in the Hebrew is the verb jare which means reverently worshipped.
1Jo 2:12 "I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake."
Because God has forgiven us, believers are commanded to forgive one another in Eph 4:32 which is an imperative mood.
Forgiving one another is not only a command but it is needed for fellowship and unity in a local assembly.
This command to be kind to one another, tender‑hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you is for the believer who has attained spiritual growth.
He is tender-hearted and forgives others on the basis of the fact that God has forgiven him.
Forgiving others allows God to handle the situation rather than self.
If you have failed under disaster testing or like the Jews you are blaming others, just simply name and cite it and go on.
EXO 14:14, The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent."
You will be victorious in the Supreme Court - Rom 12:19 Beloved, do not take your own revenge, but defer to the wrath of God. For it stands written [Deu 32:35], `Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.'"
Col 3:13 "Bear one another and forgiving each other. Whoever has a complaint against anyone else, just as the Lord forgave you, so also you should forgive others."
What overcomes our resentment is that which David said in Psa 103:3 The Lord pardons all our iniquities; and heals all our diseases.
In Eph 1:7, the apostle Paul said, "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,"
We are under surveillance by a super-natural system of demon investigators. These demon investigators have a book or a journal or a diary of your life.
According to Eph 6:12, Satan has demon investigators who constantly keep track of all believers to accuse them before the throne; Rev 12:9-10.
HEB 4:16 Let us therefore draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help in time of need.
COL 1:16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities‑‑ all things have been created by Him and for Him.
The only thing that hinders a judgment from being carried out is that a believer gets in the way through reaction, seeking revenge, arrogance sins, emotional sins, lust to hurt others.
One of the main attributes that God uses as the Supreme Court Judge is His power or omnipotence which means He has the ability to use His power any time He wills to do so.
"God Almighty" as in Gen 17:1 Now when Abram was ninety‑nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am God Almighty; Walk before Me, and be blameless.
We are also told that nothing is too difficult for Him, Gen 18:14 "Is anything too difficult for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, at this time next year, and Sarah shall have a son."
Isa 40:26 lift up your eyes on high and see who has created these stars, the One who leads forth their host by number, He calls them all by name; because of the greatness of His might and the strength of His power not one of them is missing.
Jer 27:5 "I have made the earth, the men and the beasts which are on the face of the earth by My great power and by My outstretched arm, and I will give it to the one who is pleasing in My sight."
God's power is NOT manifested by muscle, His power is in His word and whatever He says happens. As Heb 1:3 says "He upholds all things by the word of His power."
All that happens is not from the power of God.
God has allowed both angels and mankind to possess volition, and both angels and mankind have used that volition in a negative way.
When we understand the omnipotence of God, we will be assured that "nothing is to hard for Him" as Jer 32:7 states.
