REV 2:4, But I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

PHI 1:9, And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment.

Epinosis, true wisdom you can apply, because you live in it. Aisthesis, discernment void of emotional content, moral discernment concerning ethical matters.

I Pray that your unconditional love is growing, endless in doctrinal wisdom and spiritual discernment.

Doctrinal wisdom & Spiritual discernment only come through positive study habits & momentum in the PPOG.

Doctrinal wisdom & Spiritual discernment are the two offensive weapons needed for close quarter combat.

MAT 16:23, The Lord scolded Peter because his mind was set (Phroneo) meaning aligned with cosmic viewpoint in that moment, causing a trap or snare for others.

JOH 3:6, That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Spirit is spirit.

God wants nothing to do with the rebellious OSN, he has created a New Nature for your fellowship & lifestyle with Him.

Prasso Greek (v) meaning to practice or carry on, or exercise, to commit habitually. ROM 7:19 speaking on lifestyle or a mind-set.

3 ranges of combat, long range, mid-range and close range. This holds true in the spiritual and natural realm.

God is never at odds with us but we are at odds with Him.

GEN 32:1, Now as Jacob went on his way, the angels of God met him. This is God getting closer, mid-range wake up call.

Any combat analogy like we see with TLJC & Jacob is man’s struggle against the will of God. Not God struggling against man.

You can reach a point where you are so far outside the will of God you have become an enemy combatant!

God created the military genius and therefore is entitle to use it where He sees fit.

GEN 32:24 Jacob was left alone, many times it is our own utter helplessness that becomes the opponent in close range combat.

GAL 5:17 The flesh sets its desire against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh, they are in opposition to one another.

Man’s finite nature will sometimes only respond to a primitive attack in order to change course.

There are times when we press so hard against the will of God we are broken in a divine way that remains with us a lifetime as a reminder.
