TheDoctrine of Supergrace
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>
JAM 4:6 “But He gives a greater grace. Thereforeit says, "God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to thehumble."
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     James 4:6 is where we get the phrase supergrace. It all begins with the definition of grace.Grace is all that God is free to do for man on the basis of the Cross. If God is going to give man blessing, Hemust be free to do so. He must not in anyway jeopardize or compromise anycharacteristic of His essence. Thecomplexity of divine essence insists that God be consistent so NO characteristicof divine essence can ever be jeopardized or compromised. Even God's freedom to give His only begottenSon is based upon a fantastic principle which is the fact that God found a wayto bless mankind in eternity past.Â
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Propitiation is that work of Christ on the Cross which freesGod to bless man under the plan of grace. God is free to bless mankind because the work for salvation has beenaccomplished and completed perfectly by our Lord, JOH 19:30.Â
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Grace is also God's freedom and consistency to express His loveto mankind without compromising His essence. God provides a series of blessings for man totally apart from man'smerit, ability, planning, thinking, or energy.
Categories of Grace.
- Saving grace,<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'> EPH 2:8-9.
This is the work of the <bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Trinity thatthe Father planned in eternity past. The Son executed it through the cross and the incarnation, The Spiritreveals it in time.
- Logistical grace,<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'> MAT 6:25-33. <bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>This is all that theTrinity provides by way of power, security, and provision to keep the believeralive in the devil's world, so that the divine objective in the angelicconflict can be achieved by the believer.
- Supergrace; JAM 4:6. This is arriving at spiritual maturity.
- Ultra-supergrace<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'> 2TI 2:10; 3:11-12 is thatportion of the angelic conflict where God places mature believers under maximumtesting and pressure. 2TI 2:10;3:11-12.
The blessings of supergrace are alsointensified and protected by God even under the intensive pressure, persecution,and attack from Satan. Moses and Paulare two illustrations of ultra-supergrace. Both of them were genius and reached ultra-supergrace where their liveshad continual pressure and suffering. In fact, Moses had 80 years of it. During this time of great pressure andsuffering, they had great blessings from the Lord. His perseverance was the ability to undergo, to bear, to sustainopposition, criticism, annoyance, without giving up, without coming to eithercowardice or self-pity.
- Dying grace PHI 1:21.<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Â
This the greatest blessing for passing from time to eternity, Thisblessing is even greater than the greatest blessings of time. It means leaving behind great blessings byassociation to friends, loved ones and family members.
- Surpassing grace EPH 2:7.<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'> This isblessing, awards, and decorations for the mature believer for all eternity,
Definitions of Supergrace.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Supergraceand ultra-supergrace are conditions of spiritual maturity. Supergrace andultra-supergrace are both related to the power of God, Eph1:19. Supergrace andultra-supergrace are described as pursuing grace, PSA 23:5c-6; EPH 1:6. Theblessings of each, supergrace and ultra-supergrace, are beyond humanimagination, EPH 3:20-21.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Â Â Â Â Â In 1TI 1:14 both are described as"abundant grace",
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>By definition,therefore, supergrace is the highest adult stage of the spiritual life in theroyal family of God. It is the placewhere you are qualified to increase the grace to ultra-supergrace. Supergraceis maximum glorification of Jesus Christ complementing His strategic victory ofthe angelic conflict with the believer's tactical victory. It is the status ofspiritual maturity while ultra-supergrace is maximum growth and blessingattended by maximum suffering, which only intensifies the blessing.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Supergraceis where the normal function of the royal priesthood and the production ofdivine good begins.
Synonyms for Supergrace.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>The Bibleuses the following synonyms to describe the supergrace believer;
- First, the theological one is "greatergrace," [meizona charin] JAM 4:6.
- The Hebrew word “chakmah†means wisdom, thenomenclature for maximum Bible doctrine in the soul, in the Greek we have theword epignosis meaning the same thing. This is language nomenclature from the standpoint of doctrine to representthe supergrace life. Supergrace is“chakmah†or epignosis in the soul.
- We have a priestly synonym:Â "the altar of the soul," Heb13:10.
- We also have a building synonym: "theedification complex of the soul," EPH 4:12,16.
- There is a sanctification synonym:Â eusebeia translated "godliness"meaning to live the spiritual life; 1TI 6:3-6;2TI 3:12; 2PE 1:3.
- There's a chemical synonym: "salt,"MAT 5:13. The salt of the earth or thesalt of the land is the supergrace believer or the ultra-supergrace believerbeing a blessing to his nation and to others by association.
- There is a crucifixion synonym: "take up your cross..." MAT 10:38;MAR 8:34; LUK 9:23; LUK 14:27. Remember Epaphroditus and his willingness to gamblehis life away for the work of Christ. This is the consistent function ofperception, metabolization and application of Bible doctrine. Following Christ is the result ofsupergrace.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>8. There arethe three military synonyms: "puton the full armor of God," Eph6:11-18; "running the race with endurance", HEB 12:1-2 which is"following the colors to the high ground," and "establishing a command post of thesoul," COL 2:5-8. All three of these are military synonyms forthe supergrace status.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>9. There's acentral control system called inner strength: "the inner rule or dictator of the soul," EPH 6:10. Bible doctrine is the inner dictator, thecentral control system in the soul of the mature believer.
Blessings of Supergrace.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Category one, spiritual blessings. Sharing the perfect happiness of God,occupation with Christ is maximum category one love which is intensified insupergrace and ultra-supergrace. Thesupergrace believer has great capacity for life, love, happiness, blessing, andtotal appreciation for grace, all of these are intensified in supergrace. He has grace orientation, freedomorientation, authority orientation, common sense. A total sense of security, whether in prosperity or disaster.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Category two, temporal blessings. Wealth, either received or acquired. You can be wealthy and enshrouded in thegreat suffering mantle. You can haveprofessional prosperity which means having a great influence on others,leadership dynamics, success, promotion, recognition in one's sphere oflife. As a ruler, Moses, advanced togreat heights and leadership. Paul wasthe greatest communicator of all time and he advanced to ultrasupergrace.Jeremiah was the greatest prophet of all time. So, when God promotes you, you are qualified for the job.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Category three, blessings byassociation. Those around a maturebeliever are blessed by their association or relationship with thatperson. They are blessed eitherdirectly by God or indirectly from the supergrace believer as a result of theoverflow of his supergrace blessings. Thesupergrace believer shares his blessings with others. He is very gracious.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Category four, historical blessings, 2Ti1:5. The supergrace believer is on theright side of history, the reversionist is on the wrong side of history. The reversionist is caught up in thedisasters of history and swept along with them. But the supergrace believer rides on the crest of the wave ofblessing.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Category five, undeserved suffering. Only in time does God have the opportunityto give us pressure, disaster, and undeserved suffering to prove to Satan andthe fallen angels that Bible doctrine can handle any situation. God gives us the ability to handle sufferingand turn suffering into blessing, ROM 8:28, DEU 23:5. No rebound or soul searching is involved. A mature believer knows when he is underdivine discipline which is unbearable or under undeserved suffering which isbearable. The supergrace believer'sability to handle undeserved suffering glorifies God and becomes evidenceagainst Satan in his appeal trial. Undeserved suffering is also used by God to help you keep your eyes onGod and your focus on eternity, REV 2:10; 2CO 12:9-10.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Category six, dying blessings or dyinggrace. Every believer has a choice intime between being positive to Bible doctrine and receiving dying grace, orbeing negative to doctrine and dying the sin unto death. For the supergrace believer, the curse ofdeath with its pain and fear is removed, HEB 2:15. It is the greatest experience in life. It is the antithesis of the sin unto death. The perfect happiness of the supergracebeliever in time is exceeded by his +H in dying grace. PSA 116:15, 2TI 4:6-8.
The Importance of Retaining the Objective ofSupergrace and Moving on to Ultra-Supergrace, PHI 3:12-14.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Getting to supergrace is one thing,retaining the objective is something else. In PHI 3:12-14, we not only have the concept of retaining the objectivebut its implication in the field of the ultra-supergrace status. There are two reasons why the objective ofsupergrace must be held.
1. Toreach the further the further objective of ultra-supergrace.
2. Toenter into the blessings of dying grace as a supergrace believer orultra-supergrace believer.
ThePromotion Principle of Supergrace, Psa 84.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     Remember that very simple but profoundprinciple that if God doesn't promote you, you aren't promoted. And secondly, and even more important, ifGod doesn't provide it, it isn't worth having. Psa 84 deals with the promotion of the supergrace believer and theultra-supergrace believer. In the Psalm notice David's supergrace attitude.
PSA 84:2  “Mysoul longed and even yearned for the courts of the Lord; My heart and my fleshsing for joy to the living God.â€
David's soul longs for the place where Bibledoctrine was being taught. Rememberthat if you have the privilege of having a local doctrinal ministry then youshould live in the light of HEB 10:25 “not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, butencouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the day drawing near.â€
PSA 84:10  “For a day in Thy courts is better than a thousand outside. Iwould rather stand at the threshold of the house of my God, Than dwell in thetents of wickedness.â€
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>One day in Bible class isworth all the activities and pleasures that life can ever give you because youcould go out there and chalk up a thousand days of pleasures and activities,but if you don't have a capacity to receive blessing, what good is it when youget them? You'll only want more andmore because you won't be able to appreciate what you have today. You see, God wants every one of us to liveone day at a time. You live one day ata time, enjoying the Christian life because you don't even know what tomorrowwill bring.
Supergraceis the objective of the believer after salvation, EPH 3:14-19. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Being filled with all the fulness ofGod is reaching supergrace.
Supergracemust have top priority in the believer's scale of values, PHI 3:4-8.
All human achievement and good must be consideredworthless when done outside of the plan of God and the filling of the HolySpirit. Human celebrityship is losscompared with reaching spiritual maturity.
Godis waiting to provide supergrace and ultra-supergrace blessings, ISA 30:18.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>ISA 30:18  “Therefore the Lord longs [or is tappingHis foot] to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to havecompassion on you. For the Lord is a God of justice; How blessed are all thosewho long for Him.â€
The Command to Advance to Supergrace, HEB 12:1-3.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Theimportance of Bible doctrine in reaching supergrace and executing that commandis found in HEB 11:1-3.
HEB 11:1-3 “In fact, doctrine keeps on being the reality from which we keep onreceiving confidence, the proof of matters not being seen. For by it [doctrine] the men of old gainedapproval. By means of doctrine weunderstand that the dispensations were prepared by the word of God, so thatwhat is being seen in history has not come to pass out of things which arevisible in history.â€
TheIssue of God's Love Related to Supergrace, ROM 8:28; EPH 3:19; 1JO 4:19.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     God loves every believer with maximum love regardless of thebeliever's spiritual status. This lovefrom God is based on propitiation and imputation.
1JO 4:19 teaches that the believer can love Godwith maximum love in time. However, nobeliever loves God until he first of all knows God. No believer knows God until he has maximum Bible doctrine in thesoul and attains spiritual self-esteem. The supergrace or mature believer has maximum love for God because he hasmaximum metabolized doctrine in his soul which produces spiritual self-esteem,which is characterized by personal love for God,ROM 8:28; EPH 3:19. God expresses His love to the believer intime under different categories:
1. To thesupergrace believer His love is expressed by blessing and reward.
2. To thereversionist it is expressed by divine discipline and the sin unto death.
TheHistorical Illustrations of Supergrace and Ultra-supergrace.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Â Â Â Â Â We have some men who never reachedultra-supergrace but they were fantastic supergrace believers. Abraham hadsexual prosperity resulting in a new race, the Jews, Gen 17; Rom 4. Joseph whoemphasized the promotional aspect of the supergrace believer had great powerand authority, he delivered his people. David had supergrace promotion,prosperity, leadership, wealth, military success. Isaiah had fantastic Bibleteaching. Daniel had great promotion and leadership outside of the land ofIsrael.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>There are four wellestablished cases of ultra-supergrace found in the scripture. One is Job who suffered in the midst of theangelic conflict. Moses also hadintense blessing in national leadership wrapped up in the mantle of greatpressure and persecution from Satan and demons, believers and unbelievers, andeven his family. Jeremiah had intenseblessing enshrouded in a mantle of pressure, persecution and opposition in oldage while the nation was going out under the fifth cycle of discipline. He was a stabilizer for future generations.Paul had maximum pressure from Satan as the greatest Bible teacher of all time,ACT 9:15-16.
Theintensity of blessing in ultra-supergrace is taught in 2Ti 3 and LAM 3:21-25.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     In ultra-supergrace, you have constantopposition, pressure, and persecution. In Lamentations 3, the individual involved is Jeremiah, a supergrace andultra-supergrace believer. One of themost famous in the sense that his ultra-supergrace was always ignored and yethe was the stabilizer in a disintegrating nation.
TheRole of Happiness in the Supergrace Life.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     The key to supergrace is sharing theperfect happiness (+H) of God. Thesupergrace life is characterized by the total +H spectrum, which ranges fromtranquility to ecstatics (not the emotional ecstatics of the tonguescrowd). The same Bible doctrine thatprovides supergrace blessings, also provides +H from God. The +H of God is attained by the believerwhen he reaches spiritual maturity in the PPOG, the top floor of theedification complex of the soul, PHI 4:4; 1TH 5:16. Fulfillment of +H throughthe accumulation of Bible doctrine in the soul is the entrance into thesupergrace life, 1JO 4:4.
Supergraceis Part of the Road to Glory.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     There is a relationship between thesupergrace blessings for time and the eternal rewards and blessings at theJudgment Seat of Christ. Dying grace isthe link between the two. It bridgesthe gap. From saving grace, we go tologistical grace, then to supergrace, hopefully to ultra-supergrace and thenthrough dying grace, to surpassing grace.  All types of grace are related. You are in God's grace plan and cannotget out.
YourAttitude toward Bible doctrine in time determines all grace blessings in timeand eternity.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>     In eternity past God designed supergraceblessings for time and surpassing grace blessings for eternity. The believer cannot lose his salvation oreternal life in heaven but he can lose his supergrace blessings for time andsurpassing grace blessings. He can losesupergrace blessings through negative volition to Bible doctrine and subsequentreversionism. Loss of supergrace blessings means loss of surpassing graceblessings at the Judgment Seat of Christ. Therefore, your attitude toward Bibledoctrine on a daily basis is the determining factor in the angelicconflict. Bible doctrine is the meansof glorifying God, negative volition means loss of blessing in time andeternity. Thus the importance ofseizing and holding the high ground of supergrace. The attainment of supergrace reaches the objective andimmediately establishes a new objective. Saving grace, attained by faith in Christ, advances us into the royalfamily forever. Logistical grace keeps us alive in phase two of the plan of God(time) for the attainment of blessing or discipline. Supergrace is theprovision of maximum blessing for the mature believer and dying grace is thebridge between supergrace blessings for time and surpassing grace blessings foreternity.
<bstyle='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'>Surpassing grace is the finalplace of rewards and decorations for the mature believer at the Judgment Seatof Christ.
